I've got a fantastic book about videogames yesterday from my Girlfriend.I was very surprised, because I didn't know this book exists.
The title is "Pixelheroes" the first 50 years of videogames on 445!!! pages. It has tons of pics and also the history of manufacturers from the 1950's.It starts with the very first games on those huge computers and aslo has a section for arcade cabinets, Zx Spectrum, C64, Amiga, Atari 2600, retro consoles, pc games, etc..It's a very fresh release from 2010 November from a hungarian writer.
The prologue says:"This book is dedicated to my father, who bought the first C64, Amiga and ZX Spectrum for me".
Additionally it also conatins a DVD with thousands of games for C64, Spectrum, Amiga and Dos.Each game has it's own built in emulator, so you just have to click on the game from the selected platform and play!I tried Ace of Aces for C64, it still rocks!!!
