I received my edition of Arcade Fever by John Sellers (2001) yesterday.
Nice book, with a lot of pictures, and short stories about a lot of classic cabs.
Only thing that was a bit annoying were the many 'wordjokes' the author made in almost every paragraph.
Nonetheless, I recommend it to everyone.

The Rogue leaders book looks to have a prism front so you see the three different heroes from different angles. Funny.

I'm really interested in seeing Supercade. And of course the others too ;)

Well I got Supercade for my birthday and I'm about half-way through it now. It's a great book. Definitely worth the money.

Only negatives ? Well, I would have loved to see more cabinet pics and esp. the vector game screen shots under MAME look like mmmmmmmhmhmhmhmh...

And there is no coherence between what the various writers have written about everything.

I mean, in the article about Apple there is no reference about Steve and Steve pitching the idea of a home computer to Nolan Bushnell first, while in an another article it is mentioned that they both worked at Atari before starting Apple.

But, it's all minor negatives, I love the book, very much recommended (in fact, I think it's a must-have for any arcade collector/fan).

sometime ago a former arcade/pinball collector told me that there was a book about a certain Atari game-art (side-art, marquees, cabinets, game characters etc) designer. Does anyone if this book really exists and can tell me the title. I have been searching amazon.com but unfortunately I can't find any book about game-art designing at all ???

book about game-art designing
I'd love to find that too because side-art designers usually don't sign their work so it's difficult to trace them.
