My Mom moved to Hawaii a few years ago. She loves it. She lives with her 3rd Husband, His Sister, and their Mother. The house is totally paid for. They got a 4 bedroom house for a good price.
Do you know how much property taxes are out there? I'm in New Jersey.. some towns can be up to like $10,000 a YEAR in taxes! That's crazy! That's like owning a house, but still paying rent.
Taxes in Hawaii? About $500 a year, but if you sign something saying you'll be living there for 10 years or more you'll get a big discount. Their taxes are about $150 a year!
Might not be a lot of jobs out there, but I think there's plenty of opportunity for business.
Anyway, I decided to look at a few houses.. not that I have any money or anything. I saw this one house.. brand new.. 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom. It also had a brand new 1000 square foot detached garage!
