Happy Bday André!
2
I'm selling this CRAZY BALLOON by Taito/Taitronics kind of 'conversion kit'

Includes the original PCB, really clean, 100% functional and authentic.

Also comes with the marquee in very good condition, with the usual minor scratches, but please note there are 6 small holes present

A mini side art from the game is included, carefully removed from the cabinet and ready to be re‑applied
+ two transparent red stickers, used to colorize the game’s scores on a black‑and‑white screen

I'm asking €500 + shipping for the entire 'kit'.

A special box will be built to keep the PCB safe during shipment

It's great to bring out those old videos again, especially if they?re the only ones that exist from that place.  :spaceace:

Funny to see that even back then, the operators struggled to align the two projectors and their overlapping images.  :)

chinese tv, new ones? how much are they?

They are really cheap!  8)
But I have to admit, they're not built all that well. I've already fried four or five of them...  I think they can do the job for home use, but I wouldn't let these boards run 10 hours a day for months like the old-school monitors did. Still, for my setup, they get the job correctly...

Galaxian Theater / Galaxian 3 Minolta Tower Footage, 1994
« Last post by funworld_enthusiast on October 30, 2025, 09:26:21 PM »
PLEASE READ

Here's my video of the Galaxian 3 that once operated at the Minolta Tower in Niagara Falls! Previously, there was no videos OR photos of this Galaxian 3, but after looking around on a post online (which, I don't believe many people have seen), I found a video with footage with the game! (original footage used in my video was much longer, I just got rid of the parts without Galaxian 3). However, the true heroes of this story are the ones who actually filmed it, so here's channel credit for the footage.

@BryceBarnetteHomeVideos (@ on YouTube)

This video also disproves the belief that the game was installed in 1995, as it was taken in June 1994.

1 hr 30 min original video where my video's footage was taken from (also features the Skylon Tower arcade!): https://youtu.be/wLvuZJi-17A?si=LwTq26Ib-K_PMGGA

Dang, after a short hiatus (two months!), here's an update

T-molding installed, and here's the first side finally fully finished

Received the second side art artwork...

...now installed!

New T-molding session. It's my least favorite step. No luck  this Italian version of the cabinet has quite a long stretch of it  :? ...

Well, it's not finished yet, but I really wanted to see Dragon's Lair 2 running on the original tube. The chassis, meanwhile, is a brand new Chinese one. It's starting to look pretty awesome, right? I'm happy: it's slowly waking up again  :D

Thanks for this footage. It's important to preserve records of this game in action.
I should dig through my old hard drives, I remember recording a lot of Zolgear sessions too, since that was the mission installed on my Galaxian Theater when I got it.
But I have to admit I quickly switched to Project Dragoon, as that mission left the strongest impression on me.
Here's a Let's Play video of the Galaxian 3 made by me  :)  :

For some reason, the enemies were WAY harder in the latter half of this playthrough, maybe because I won multiple times before.  ::)
Perhaps there is a automatic skill adjuster programmed in the game during game play? Would you know this DarthNuno?  ???

I don't remember any adaptive difficulty.

Not to mention, this the only recorded "Mission Completed" Attack of the Zolgear game outside of Japan. ;)
