Excellent decisions about your restoration !

Berzerk is awesome....

And you are right about the side-art....looks fine. I never toucher mine either....

Hats off for trying to get the original board set running, mind you.....it's a tough job sometimes.....I've worked on quite a few Berzerk boards and gave up on some....

First of all check the battery area on the main board.

Oh and original board set-ups can be made reliable.....mine never had an issue after switching out some with spares.....

Muerto, did you still have issues ?

This reminds me....I still have a bunch of Berzerk PCBs between Ully, Michael and me....we should really split them up honestly....I'll investigate what I still have here....

Those connectors you ordered are going to be a PITA to connect and not make a mistake.....all those single connections......also.....these might not keep connected when moving the cab. I was lucky to have enough spare original flat cables to run my machine when I still hadn't it...but I also did use the SCSI solution for a while. Dangerous....it's easy to mispositioj those.

Do you have an original bat stick ?

Hey my friends,

I still find some arcade parts here and there and I have little use for them anymore so....

Here's a NIB original ThisOldGame Star Wars yoke overlay.

I don't need to explain Rich's repro quality...

Do note that this has the US colors which are slightly different than the Euro/Irish ones.....and IMHO it should only go on a US cab......or you must have a yoke without any overlay or badly damaged one...

Anyway, they're 34 bucks on Rich's website.....make me a nice offer Wink

Wow, that is exciting and courageous for sure !!!

I hope it rolls the way you like it to see Smiley

I fully understand the feeling you describe about enthusiastic people....it was what made the two RGE's in Hilversum brilliant to do.....

About the machines going down: just rip out all the old junk, install a 48in1 board and a LCD....... Grin

Geez.....that is hard to believe....I don't think we talked a lot but surely I know him from the parties....

So sad........RIP Heiko......

Thanks friends......it wasn't particularly my best birthday ever.....not because of the big 5 - 0 but....oh well....I have strong hopes on a brilliant birthday next year

I would "kill" for pictures of my first "arcade" and I am _SURE_ they must exist as it was at a famous camping site.....people made pictures during their holidays....but no way to find them in private collections.

So I understand how you felt finding these !!

I already think it's pretty "liberal" that you guys actually had an arcade, after all it's a very American/capitalist thing.....or did you guys get your money back when you left ? Wink  (That would be the communist thing to do...right ? Wink )

That picture of Rotterdam is AWESOME.....the Café on the right "'t Fust" (=the (beer) barrel) still exists today and is very popular to sit on the terrace at day time and is a nice club to go out at night.... Cheesy

73  General Chat / Arcade Lifestyle / Eurocade 2017.....the one that never happened. on: September 10, 2017, 04:00:21 PM
It's strange...I just realized we would have had a Eurocade around this time "normally"......

It's a bit sad to see that after 6 years in a row it ended.....well hopefully someone will pick it up next year !!!

74  General Chat / Arcade Lifestyle / Re: Superully's ELEKTRO Arkade on: September 10, 2017, 03:58:33 PM
Nice choice for the audio. This will give a nice "spread out" sound, which is often a problem in (game)rooms where there is too much volume near the speakers and too little when far away from them...

100V systems are also used for really big buildings (larger than 10000m2) as an evacuation system.

LOL about the chimes, you_MUST_  connect a microphone so you can announce it when dinner is ready  Grin Grin Grin

Too bad you didn't demo any music though !?!?

The Visaton speaker (in this version) would sound really really poor because there is no box around it.

Apart from that, they look to be from the same manufacturer ?

I have upgraded the standard speaker in my Atari Lynx I to a  Visaton speaker and it sounds GREAT Smiley
