Arcade Lifestyle / Tron Questions

I have to emulate Tron until I can get the control board, power supply, control panel, etc. It's a very hard game to play on MAME without a spinner.
I had a few parts laying around for a control panel so I'm making one that will fit in the cabinet but it's not a permanent solution at all. As soon as I have money then I'll buy a control panel off of ebay to replace the original one. The control panel I'm making though will be pretty cool in my opinion. It's going to be split into two parts so I can play with another person with my own control panel half in my lap and the other person will be able to do the same. It uses a USB controller interface so I can hook it up to any computer anywhere. When I get the original Tron control panel I'll use the control panel I made to player arcade fighting games and Neo Geo games.
Since my wife's computer is never used I'm just putting it in the cabinet temporarily until I get all the replacement parts. No use in having a big cabinet that has no internals and a computer that's never used when I could just put them together for awhile.
I noticed that your Tron has a coin access door under the coin door. I wonder if that was added later as mine doesn't have one. Also, I think your coin door has been replaced as mine looks fairly different and I verified that mine's original.
I'll see if I can figure out what's wrong with your monitor if you can tell me more about what's wrong with it. I'm not much of an electrician but I've fixed a number of TVs and monitors (and blown up a few as well). A new one, I think it's a 19", would run between $200-$250 without shipping. Obviously, shipping will kill if you do it from happcontrols.com or a site like that. suzo.com might have one though. I don't know because I don't have an account with them.
Thanks a lot for the pics and measurements. Are the retainers all plastic and at 90 degree angles?
