Selling 2 compilations of Classics for the Xbox 360:
Namco Museum Virtual Arcade is full of arcade classics and the Sega Collection has great titles too.
Both are complete and in new condition as both have been tested once and in storage ever since.

20€ for both plus 4€ uninsured letter shipping (in an A4 envelope) to anywhere in Europe. Parcel shipping possible but would cost more.

Been waiting for good weather to come back to sand Baby Pac-Man and get on with the restauration that was illustrated here:
https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=2957.30

Well, I have learned that I will be a dad (again) :D, and that the WIP Gameroom will be made into a baby room, which has repercussions on the hobby :'(. As we all know space is an issue. Asked around but no one can help me with storage in the direct neighborhood. So as much as it pains me to do so it seems I have no choice but to let go.

I will be taking offers for the bulk, and pick-up only. First serious offer gets it. I know I will never get back anywhere close to what I invested. You can always split it up afterwards if it is a joint acquisition.

Here's the take:
The Baby Pac-Man as seen in the link above.
Partially restored. A lot of work and time has been invested into this machine. Not yet reassembled (waiting to sand the cab), and missing monitor and monitor chassis.
Several spare PCB's and many other spare parts. Marquee and Bezel in splendid condition.

Ms Pac-Man upright:
Still need to make pics. Missing back door but seems to be otherwise complete. Simply does not switch on but have never looked into it as it was meant to be restored after Baby Pac.
Joystick is broken and needs a rebuild. Marquee like new. Bezel ok - some flaking. Cab solid and in good condition. Has had some paint touch-ups here and there. No water damage.

Popcorn Machine:
Seen on this pic.

Non functional = fuses jump as soon as turned on. Dirty, needs a good wash.
Seems to be complete (frontal parts are stored inside the cab at the moment).

Any questions, please ask. Also if pics of particular pieces are needed no problem...

All the rest / Need Marktplaats help: for a friend from a friend
« on: February 03, 2012, 09:15:10 AM »
A german friend of mine, who speaks neither dutch nor english has found a pinball machine (sorry, video game  :)) he wants to get on markplaats.

As it also already happened to me in the past, he is not getting any answer to his "foreign" email, and there is no phone number. He lives just on the other side of the boarder and would like to, simply put: "go buy the machine and go home with it", for the sellers price.

As the dutch community is very well represented here in this forum, would it be possible to get a hand here? The phone number? Or to write exactly that to the seller?
The buyers name is Marcel, and his email is marcelpeetz@gmx.de if the seller wants to get back to him.

Or through me and through this forum would also be fine. Greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.

Artwork / Question about custom printing with THISOLDGAME.COM
« on: January 12, 2012, 04:25:32 PM »
From what I've heard (read), some of you have had custom prints done from thisoldgame. Did these also include large side-arts  or maybe even vinyl sheets?
How is the Solvent Inkjet printing he offers? Is quality and colour-matching any good compared with large quantity screen printing?

Also is it just as UV resistant?  8)

'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / FS: Arcade games collections for XBOX
« on: January 11, 2012, 05:36:45 PM »
Usually my games are always in mint condition and first hand, but I had bought these second hand as they were impossible to find, so they are not quite mint, but still very nice.

So what we have here is Midway Treasures 1, 2 & 3, as well as Taito Legends 1 & 2. That's dozens and dozens of arcade goodness games.
For DLF-members, I'll let this collection go for 20€ including unregistered shipping anywhere in Europe. (If someone wants tracked parcel shipping no problem, but I'll need to look up exact costs). If no feedback they'll land on baybay.

Road-trips welcome too, but you won't need a big car.  ;)

As many of us order lots things in the US, I wanted to share with you how I get by paying shipping and customs to Europe every time.

I have an account with http://www.bpm-lux.com, which basically for 5 euros er month gives you addresses in 6 countries, including the US and UK. These are street addresses and not mailboxes, so every vendor accepts them!

You then order all your stuff from different locations in the US lets say, and when you're done, it is consolidated and shipped in one go to your housedoor, on top of it for cheaper than the regular carrier shipping, as they have some sort of deal or something.

Anyway, I use it, it works great, so I thought you guys should also take advantage of it. :) :pac: :ghost:

All the rest / The ultimate music of the 80s
« on: October 01, 2011, 05:53:35 PM »
Imagine for a moment you're in your gameroom, and it needs the absolute 80's musical background!

If you can chose one song (JUST ONE!) that the most symbolizes the cliché of the 80s music for you, what would it be?
Very difficult question that you would probably answer differently every day. You don't even have to be a fan, or like it, but I would like to know what symbolises this period for you musically. So a heavy metal fan is allowed to say Mireille Mathieu just as a techno fan could say Bon Jovi.  :?

I think for me the absolute cliché that throws me back to the 80's is....is....is.....:
Europe - The Final Countdown

We might manage to compile a sort of "Best-Of". Your turn!

Technical Area / Monitor replacement - discharging
« on: September 26, 2011, 08:55:23 AM »
I have never discharged a monitor before and feel a bit jumpy about doing it.

The thing is I need to replace one, so the question is, can I exchange one monitor for another including their respective boards, without discharging anything (and without running the risk of getting shocked) ? Do you always discharge screens before manipulating them, or are you just careful not to touch what shouldn't be touched?

Arcade Lifestyle / A baby is RE-born: BABY PAC restoration project
« on: September 13, 2011, 03:15:00 PM »
So, at last it happened! I am now a proud dad, of a little baby. Baby pacman.

First roadtrip (through amazing storms and sleet for those who heard about the amazing weather in Germany last Sunday), first arcade machine.

Anyway, to make a long story short and all the other news following up in the next posts, here is the situation:
-200W stepdownconverter between the cab and my wall socket. Switch on: bang, there goes the fuse!

Ok, so you've all gone through that 1000 times. Not me. In a nutshell, amongst the many many reasons this can obviously come from, what is the most common reason for this?

Two words about the cab: bought NOT working, but at least should be able to be powered on.
Solenoid board, power board and the MPU boards should be working. Same goes for most of the bulbs, coils and other pinball parts.
Not working should be the Vidiot board (apparently 2 flashes only), and the monitor does not switch on.

Fact is I cannot even get that far to test anything.
I think this first challenge is going to be a hard one, but a nice one to learn a lot, with a machine I absolutely fell in love with, but I sure will need some help from you guys.
SOS

Now, don't go wild on me saying that this is a commercial post and all. I'm just a guy in the basement and don't live on this.

What you guys don't know is that not to "disturb" the family budget, I decided to make games to pay for my games. And as I love both, it kinda makes sense. :-)
Well anyway, to my big surprise way ahead of schedule, this night while I was fast asleep, Apple validated my first game, so I'm all crazy this morning.

Simple gameplay, inspired by the games we love from the beginning of the 80s. It's a happy day for me. ;D

Arcade Lifestyle / Remote pickup around Paris
« on: August 31, 2011, 09:19:16 PM »
Is there anyone here from the Paris region, around the district of Disneyland to be exact? Would be to pick up something (big) and maybe store it for a while until I can make it there. Or maybe sometime someone is passing through that area on the way to / through Luxembourg?

Arcade Lifestyle / Getting games from abroad, NON US
« on: August 25, 2011, 04:33:19 PM »
Ok, so getting big stuff from the US seems to be a problem, unless you have loads of friends over there who have lots of time to spare and friendly customs on this this.

Who do you use as international shipping service when you cannot do a roadtrip for various reasons?
Like from France to Belgium, Holland, Germany or Luxembourg for instance. Anyone in particular who is a good value for money and trustworthy?

Technical Area / So that's how you clean up PCB's...
« on: August 25, 2011, 03:58:02 PM »
Is it really ok to wash your pcb's in the dishwasher???
http://www.tokensonly.com/2010/03/restorations/g07-monitor-chassis-wash/#more-2422

I would have thought that most parts oxidate afterwards. I would be a little worried about putting a pong circuit into my dishwasher. Not that I have one...
