'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / Pricecheck: Original Pac Man cab
« on: March 17, 2014, 12:25:59 PM »
Hi everyone

I'm thinking about selling my Pac Man cab.
It is at my parents house in a heated spare room they have over there, but I haven't fired it up the last year.

So, if the worst case scenario hits....how much does a non-working Pac Man cab go for.
And in the best case ... how much does a working Pac Man cab go for.

It has also been jamma-tized by the previous owner, and it has a multi-pac-man board fitted. So if the new owner wants it back to original state it would imply re-wiring and sourcing a original Pac Man pcb.

Ofcourse I will test the cab before selling it.

Thanks !

'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / Wanted: Game & Watch
« on: April 23, 2012, 01:49:18 PM »
Looking to buy a few Nintendo Game and Watches. Anything from the G&W series will be considered (table tops/panorama screen/crystal screen)

Especially looking for:

Donkey Kong jr (widescreen, panorama-screen)
Popeye (widescreen, panorama-screen, table top)
Donkey Kong (multiscreen, coleco table top)
Bombs Away (panorama-screen)

Anything else you might have.

Boxes/foam/booklets not super important as these will up the price too much. Will pay well for nice ones (just no ebay prices).

Thanks for looking.

'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / How much for a pacman pcb?
« on: August 24, 2011, 08:25:02 PM »
Playing with the idea of restoring pacman. Mine has a Xin1 chinese-pac-board in it when I bought it. And although the cab hasn't been fired up in a while and I've lost the key to the back panel, I'm pretty sure it's still there  :D

Not sure yet about how far I'll take the restauration (stickers or paint ) but one thing is for sure, the multigame board has gotta go.

So .... how much would an original pacman board set me back?

And come to think of it .... how much for an original Ms pacman, mighty tempting to put both games in there.

This past weekend I started modding a dreamcast agetec arcade stick.
All the work that needed dremmeling has been done, so now I can pimp this stick with some nice artwork.

I've found some nice art I'd like to use for this purpose. Allthough it is nice it is not "perfect".

It's a colored (jpeg) picture with a black logo of the game (Ikaruga) right in the middle. I'd like that logo to be in the lower right corner. Now I've spent the better part of yesterday to achieve this but alas with no succes.

Is it even possible to do this? And if so .... would a really talented soul be able to help me out on  this one?
Any help would be greatly appreciated !

« on: August 21, 2010, 09:25:06 AM »
Probably a long shot, but I'm looking for an original

Bubble Bobble pcb

Romstar or Taito, either one will do just fine.
Must be original so please add some pictures.

Also on the look out for:

Shinobi (found :-)
Kung Fu Master

Jamma adaptors would be nice but without is fine too.

All the rest / Need some help: ebay seller will only ship to US
« on: December 04, 2009, 08:34:49 AM »
I need some help, please.
There is a ($6) item on the bay right now, I'd love to purchase.
Small problem, the item (an xbox 360 controller) only ships in the US.

Was wondering if a US resident (Barry perhaps) would be able to buy this on ebay for me and then redirect it to me?
I'll compensate the purchase ofcourse and all the hassle/shipping cost to forward it to me in advance, through paypal.

Thanks.

 :)

Arcade Lifestyle / Dreamcast to jamma
« on: April 19, 2008, 04:56:40 PM »
I am expecting a New Astro City in a couple of weeks.  :)
Thought i would be cool if I could play some dc-games on that cab.
Bruno has his dc in his multi-platform-gauntlet-machine and his story inspired me greatly.

My situation is different though. Unlike Darthnuno my wires won't connect to a switchbox, but ..... I guess to a jammafingerboard.

http://www.jammaboards.com/store/jamma-adapters/jamma-plus-jb-2-fingerboard-adapter/prod_47.html

Would I be assuming this correctly ?

Since the dc has 6 buttons I thought the Jamma+ fingerboard would be a good choice.

Also to get the video signal straightend out would this be a product I could use ?

http://www.arcadecabinets.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=18&category_id=6&manufacturer_id=0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=26

I know there's this tutorial on http://www.mameworld.net/pc2jamma/arc_dc4.html
but the part where they make this custom made video-thingy I just don't get that at all, so I thought I'd buy that particular circuit.

I just bought my first decicated cab today.  :D

It's a baby pac man, bit of a contrast to let's say, ehm, Galaxian Theatre, but I'm thrilled.
Road trip tomorrow with my brother.

All the rest / Hi
« on: April 13, 2007, 05:21:42 PM »
Hi everyone,

This is my first post on this great site. My first reaction was one of
awe.

Thank you for making such a nice looking informative site.

I think it is very, very impressive the way you collect and restore
these classic jems.

As many of you (judging by the photo's on the site   ) I grew up in the 80's and living -in those days- on the Dutch North-sea coast with lots of tourism.
Because of the tourists we had 2 arcades, back  in the day in my home town village.

In one of those arcades I did my summer-break-job (is this English ?)during a few summers(1983 till 1987) so I witnessed "history in the making" hands on.
Lucky for me I was able to keep my lunchmoney, as I was an employee I got to play for free (some memorable night-parties pop in mind now, ah well).
anyway, got to play SA for free, "our" arcade never featured DL. But DL was hosted in Amsterdam, so I lost my lunchmoney on train-fare and DL overthere.

I'm currently working on a mame-cabinet (model: Mortal Kombat) running Mame and Daphne.
I thought I was on the right track with that project but now I realise I want a Space Ace cabinet.
I'm thinking of builing one in the future. Allthough building something is very nice to do, because is more genuine, my wish is obtaining an original cabinet one day if I'm lucky enough.

A few words on the collection of Mr. Finn. (I can't resist) Ever since I saw the photo's of Mr. Finn's Lair I eat less, don't sleep that well, I seem to be
drewling a lot and according to my friends I speak in an incoherent
manner. All since that day...................

Well just a lot of words to say, once again, I'm deeply impressed.
I'm amazed with the efforts of every-one metioned on this site.

Hope to see you all one day.
