Technical Area / Re: Memory map help wanted
« on: April 10, 2018, 01:57:57 PM »
Hi,

go to:

https://github.com/mamedev/mame

klick "find file" button in the middle....

enter "naughty" in the field... (the drivers name is mostly an abbreviation of the full name...

choose the naughtyb.cpp file from the "drivers" folder   (the other files are the graphics driver.... for a memory map, we need the main driver)

most of the time, the memory map is explained in the remarks on top of the cpp file.

if not, search for "_map" in the driver...

we had two of these in our qix-taito cabinet - i found the schematics at lascheks scan project.

here i want to thank laschek for doing this!

wow, just  saw this thread right now..

the very first pic of this thread is a Midway Robby-Roto cab.... shitty game, but a very rare cabinet. just saw one in the US, i never thought that there is one in europe.

Great catch!

Folks, what do you think would a decent Taito 2-way-stick, made to perfectly fit into that controlpanel, be worth?  ;D

i hope, that no one will answer luigi's question  ;)

wow,

the control panel of the tank still has the original plastic covers... very seldom to see!

for me it's ok.

bubble bobble was a conversion kit, so most of the time they used older cabinets to convert the machine to the brand new game....

so they _could_ have used a stratovox cab - but a qix as well...

in any case, i love the cabinet - but i do not like the wheight of this cabinet.... this one is the heaviest upright (beside star wars) i needed to carry up to the 2nd floor :o

Hi,

as some of you already know, i took on Ully's Bubble Bobble project.

i just want to show an update of the super nice Bubble Bobble Project and Ully's Perfect work.

i still need to:

-> get 2nd stick for the CP and move the very right button 2 cm up.
-> design a CPO
-> design a Bezel
-> T-molding

I built the Parts together, and this is how it looks like:

ChrisChris, your CC board has a HS-Savekit with freeplay / attract ;-)

(his cc board is at my place right now, and i will bring it to oldenburg - he kindly offered me his crazy climber board for developing the savekit / onlinekit - thats why chris does not know yet, that a kit is installed ;) )

your "BILIARDO" PCB looks like a standard konami-pinout with a soundboard from scramble

http://www.zzzaccaria.com/images/PCBs/Scramble.jpg

the hustler pcb looks seems to be a konami pinout as well and like a frogger pcb

I've always dreamed of a cab with Artillery Duel from the C64.

oh how i loved this game! played it with a friend a few months ago...it was a great fun!

btw: you gave me an idea: this game could be added to a wizard of wor savekit because the astrocade is the only hardware with bitmap graphics (supported by the CPU) and sounds (supported by the cpu) - on all the other pcbs, you have to swap gfx-roms as well...
