Ok, first of all, I didn't recognize the nickname of this guy for first sight on auction site, he is a friend of mine, he is a director of Gingerclown and Thelomeris.
He has a nice collection of games, but he is not into electronics, my old friend repairs his machines time to time.
Some pics from the gameroom:

The lightsaber was signed by Mark Hamill

And here is the Hyper Olympic, sorry for the bad quality pics

Pcb fault could be seen on the top right corner, I think it is a Konami custom chip

The highscore screen is also dissorted

Crack on cpo

And my new arcadelifestyle car, it was ready for it's first pickup :-\

Well, there's nothing that could not be fixed. Checking and rearranging the wiring, there's nothgin to be afraid of. HO pcbs are easy to find and it should not be impossible to make a new CP plexi. I'm sure the Hyper Olympic backglass we have here would fit into this cab, too.

If you wait for the 100%-solution you might never have one. I say, make the seller an offer way deeper than what he wanted. Point him to the damages and the broken PCB. Maybe he will go down far enough for you to be happy with :)

I do agree with you. But according to Bela the monitor wasn't that good and needed fixing too. I'm not capable of doing such repairing. To me that is the main reason. The wiring and plexi are fixable for me.

I actually own a working HO PCB, so that's not the issue

there are guys here not too far from your place that know some things about monitors  ;)

Looks like a hantarex mtc 900E in there, plenty of info on that monitor.

I see the monitor is working, and it problably just need some caps here and there (which can be capped completely for not too much money, or measure the caps and see if there is a bad one in there and just replace that)

Like Luigi suggests, maybe try to get it for a lower price ?

Well, I'll check if he wants to drop the price. Then I can decide

I can see myself playing this game shining brightly with the backglass of Luigi
