Well, I think you put it in an area where it won't be touched much so not too bad there.

My experience is that it's extremely weak. Slightest contact and it will go off...

right so best is to go for a flat mounting plate then,i thought al joysticks had the same mounting plate
so i need to be careful then wat i wil order.
cos i dont wana make bigger holes and stuff in me control panel if it possible.

i think im going for a joystick with a ball on top.

As long as you can take the stick out, or screw the ball off youre fine, remember that the ball will not go through the plexi  ;D

ay it isnt i nice job,but if your done and see the diffrence ,your glad you did it ;)

Finaly i got the new pcb ;D

Right lets see if evrything is oke
After starting it up for the first time, picture didnt look good
So time to adjust the monitor, after 10 min i stil got a strange white line at the top of me screen, and
the bottom of the screen was dark.
It didnt get away by adjusting the monitor.
So i just get some movement on the conector thats on the pcb,and whala ;D

mario got the right colors again monkey looks good ;D

so far evrythings seems to look oke.
Now its time to play it for a few hours to test it good  ;D
After that i stil need to fine tune the monitor a bit,i saw that there were 2 brightnes  Buttons.
so need to get a closer look at the hantarex manual
But for now its testing time ;D ;D

I am not an expert, but it looks like a ram error

Do you have it running on the original powersupply ?
If yes, check the 5 Volt line, and is the fan working ?
Those original powersupply's tend to get hot of the fan is not working, so firts let it cool down and check again

First i took sandpaper 180  on a sanding machine just as long that the spots-rust or oxidation is gone.
Then i sanded the parts with sandpaper 400,so the deep scratches go away.
After that i used a chrome & laque polish
and then its shinning like new again  ;)

Great work on the metal !

About the board: Carefully remove all socketed chips (one at a time), and firmly re-insert them. Then see what happens.
