I do have an original Kung Fu Master boardset that I ripped from my Galaxian cab when I got it. It's been in working order when put in storage, but I'd happily test it again if anyone is interested in it. It's just collecting dust over here.

Hell yeah!  :spaceace:
Thanks nilfisk!
Bruno you have dibs on that spare board  ;)

Back from v1 atm (yeah, real time work, it changes!).

I'm in a hurry. I don't want spending precious time to dismantle a TV and frame it this time. So I'll use one of my *spare* monitor that should be plug'n' play...  let's use this Matsushita nmx l21g

Working! Yeah!  :-*

Yeah, but :

- flipped picture!
- picture size to set.

Now that I'm back on my iMac, just checked the Kung Fu Master manual, and I see this  ::)

So next time I'll go in the V1, probably tomorrow morning, I should fix that, and adjust the screen picture size...

As expected, that switch was the one!  Right picture 'orientation' now :

Next step, to setup the picture size. No problem except ... the horizontal size... too small

It supposed to be 'this', but when using an allen key to rotate inside, there's no effect at all, not even a single move of the picture? Part to replace?

This doesn't stop me to play my first game in good condition :

Now let's check the control panel. Well, it's 'used' but not damaged, so there no reason to change it for me.

Ok, a small missing overlay part close to the "2 player" button, but I can live with that.
The bottom of the overlay peel of. A good 'glue' advise/method to fix it back?

Dirty here!

After a "magic sponge" session, it looks far better, huh?

I think it's time for that KFM to leave the 'repair room'  8)

Now I have to order a set of side art...

...that will hide the remain of glue on the sides..

Playing time!  :P My first high score

69520 ... floor 4 ... damn, these butterflies are damn hard to pass!

Evidently Williams replaced a cap in the monitor chassis used in Moon Patrol because the image the Irem PCB (similar to Kung Fu Master/Spartan-X) displayed was so narrow, allowing the image to be stretched horizontally more than usual.  Perhaps something like this is needed?

Possibly, but it doesn't explain why there's no picture move at all when I'm trying to move that 'part', supposed to be 'H-SIZE'?  :-\

Small touch up here & there, mostly on the sides... will do when I'll have the side art stickers, but nothing more! There's not reason to fully repaint the front for me.
As I say... I keep things used... part of the charm & history of a cabinet  8)
Dare to say my KFM doesn't look gorgeous now?  ;D

All these water damages because of the missing legs, most probably! Let's fix that once for all!

Where do you buy these leg mounting plates? I have only seen them with the hole in the center.

I have a dream....that one day....all members of forum are the same....no matter how long ago they have joined, how many games they own or how many posts they wrote ;)

It's amazing how much different the sideart makes cabinets look.
I'm just finishing up on a euro Dig Dug, with the wood grain sides, and I'm wondering wether to apply the cabaret side art that I have  ???

This cab is just amazing.
I love it.
And i have sweet memories of me playing it when i was young.
I remember to have pass around 8 hours in a house of my mother's friend, full of cabs because her cousin was a local operator, playing this and exciting soccer......
I really enjoy that day.
 ;D
