Although I consider the real Atari's (Atari Games and Atari Inc.) to be long dead.....it was the birthday of ATARI 40 years ago.

In honor I will play my Working Atari machines this afternoon, and give some more TLC to the LL...

Atari is giving away free apps (nice I paid for it....). You can get the classics for free now in iPad etc.

There's also a sweepstake but it's US only       Who made Atari survive in the Tramiel era ?? It was Europe !!! Grrrr....

O well....let's stay positive.....thank you Atari for having such a great influence in my life

I guess it's because Apple was formed by two former Atari employees using stolen Atari parts to built the Apple I.

Gentlemen this is about ATARI.....not Apple.

Sometimes.....sometimes I wished I could steal a DeLorean that has been converted in a time machine. I would set the timer for somewhere in 1976 where a certain Steve Jobs suggests to develop a home computer to a certain Nolan Bushnell. Of course I would have informed Mr. Bushnell that he should agree and get going !
In a(nother) stroke of brightness, Mr. Bushnell hooks up Steve, his friend Woz and Mr. Miner together in a team with the task to develop Atari's first home computer.

The rest would be history and I would now be typing this on a machine with an Atari logo instead of an Apple

Well, it seems that indeed this "present" is for Apple-boys and girls only. Someone downloaded it to his Android and was fully charged. Another one got it for free.

I'm not an Apple-hater (just don't want to pay the prices) but this makes me sick
