Gameroom decoration
« on: November 28, 2011, 11:01:46 PM »
Remember this: https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=1312.msg42957#msg42957 ?

Another step to completion of my gameroom is planned, and I'm thinking about interiors and decoration now. I would like to know of any good sites and other places where nice decoration and signs for a gameroom is available.

I know of the following ones, but there should be more:
http://www.kingplayer.de/index.php/cat/c133_Wall-Graphics.html/page/1
http://www.supernice.co.uk/?jssCart=a2278b7da849e4fb0eb2158ccb07353d
http://www.toysnjoys.com/wallscroll_n.html

And I have seen some neon signs on Ebay, some pretty cheap (Nintendo logo), some serious expensive.

Or does someone has nice stuff lying around which he doesn't use any longer?  8)

Please, give me input and ideas.

I started to collect marquees and bezels a few years ago, I think original arcade arts would be a great decoration for a gemeroom.
Some neon stuff is also a must have of course. ;)
You could also use framed pinball  backglasses, some of them looks awesome.

Great idea to fill the walls of your arcade with posters and stickers of scantily clad teens. For the ultimate in good taste you should get some posters of the Deathsmiles kids (including a couple of bottles of Deathsmiles Girl pee)

;)

my opinion: less is more! my future gameroom is going to have a nice carpet (or a wooden floor), loads of cabinets with individual toppers and extras like a jukebox, a coke machine and a popcorn maker - not much more! i won't be putting up marquees or bezels because i'm no fan of crowded gamerooms (and crowded rooms in general). however, i'm thinking of installing a video wall which either displays 80s music videos or other arcade related stuff. of course, this uses up tons of space, but it would definitely be a cool unique thing!
all i need is ... PONG - and a select few others: TOUCH ME, DRAGON'S LAIR, JOUST, ROBOTRON, MR DO, SAN FRANCISCO RUSH THE ROCK!!!

Black walls and a nice floor or something home made and creative.
Why would you want those wall stickers that every gamerooms already have?

Tron Recognizer Neon
« Reply #12 on: December 03, 2011, 07:03:24 PM »
Thanks to this topic on KLOV, I got the opportunity to get this Tron Recognizer neon  :)

...and got the package this morning....

...right away from China. Very well packaged by the way! Too bad the customs opened it  (fortunately 'only' 10€ extra fee)  :-\

Anyway, still in one piece. Thanks to the very good packaging  :-*

It's supposed to work for any voltage... let's cross the fingers and power up that beast

Wooww! So powerful  :D Huh wait? Ok I just have to select the right settings on my camera in order to take 'very luminous' pictures ::)

OK, it'll better now  ;D

Next step, to plug it in my game room, close to the TRON cabinet of course  8)
