Have a look at this very old french video documentary (1993 but I'm not sure), if you are just curious to see what is a Galaxian 3 Theater 'in action' !

Download the video (253MB), and forward to 5 min40 sec  !

Here's the link : https://www.dragonslairfans.com/G3/televisator07.avi

* thanks to Harpinos for the video link *

Arrggg... I can''t wait to play the game on my 'cab'  :P  :P  :P

Ok, first of all : I love reading your adventures in finding (and getting) all those fantastic cabs! Thumbs up!!!!!

If I'm not mistaking you've got the Galaxian3 Theatre from a Arcade hall in Blankenberge (Belgium coast)

Well, I had the pleasure playing on that same Galaxian3 theatre years back. Hell, I even vomited in that Theatre some years a go after a wild beach party. No kidding. :-) Hope you didn't find any rests of it. rotfl

I'm also a great fan of arcades from day one. My first arcade experience was Asteroids. :) And at the age of 37 I still play games on my Mame cabinet, PS3 and X360. Can't stop for some strange reason. :-)

BTW I too made a contribution for keeping those games a life in the form of coding EasyMame. Not a very 'big' contribution but at least I did something for the scene.

Keep posting those fantastic reports!!!

During this 'Galaxian3Theater two days roadtrip', I've founded a lot of non-identifed stuff inside the theater  8)  Maybe it was ... noooooooooo it can't be that

Thanks for the anectode... still fun to hear stories about that game  :o  Because that game was on that same location many years, I'm sure there should be a TON of stories like that  :o

Thanks for interest ... and stay tuned... that story is not over

OK, still G3 parts everywhere  :|  My objective is to bring back as much as possible the parts in my home  8)

Inside Sam's garage

A very big item (where the two projectors are...)

it take  almost all the space in the car, but i can load few more elements from the "theater's roof'  8)

This big part will go inside my father's house... for the moment...

Another trip from Sam's garage to my place for other parts :

...inisde the house now :

Ok, remember... the Theater includes six seats... here's the first one... still inside our living room... it's time to dissasemble it :

...very strong... and very heavy too

...I'm rich... very old coins inside  :P

It's seems easy now...  removing the 'flight yoke' panel ...it wasn't the case during the roadtrip  :?

...now inside the seat, four screws...

Good, now the 'seat #1' assembly includes 3 parts :

- the base

- the seat itself
- the 'flight yoke' panel

It's now more easy to  put away like that

To COnTiNuE oF couRse 8)

Found something great about the most incredible arcade 'cabinet' Galaxian3 Theater... directly on the official NAMCO BANDAI website !

History of the game, the conception... and probably a lot of very interesting informations/stories about the game but also the conceptors of the game !!!

I say 'probably' because all that stuff is in Japanese and I do understand nothing :-(

I'll do my best to translate all of that in english, but there are maybe  some peoples around here who would like to help me on this ? ;-)

Anyway, check out the webpage right here

PS : Namco Rulez... but why in Japanese only ?

OK, back on the story

More stuff to bring back in my house  8)

Today, it's one seat ...

... the two video projectors ...

...the ULTRA HEAVY stepdown converter ... a small black cube ... but so HHEEAAVVYYY

...and finally one  coin door/box :

Ouchh... still a lot of stuff here... I'll take care about all of this l8ter

Hey... did I already told you that these 2 video projectors are huge & heavy ?

I know I souldn't do it alone, but I bring them on the first floor in my house... alone      ...tired now...

OK, but where to put the big & heavy base of the seats ???

... hey what's this ???

...what a pain isn't it ???   :o

In fact, I've a secret place at the end of my garden ... no, it's not a new game room... just a shed :

Stay tuNEd  8)

Go back to the Sam's place...

As promised to him, I'll remove a seat from his garage  ;)

...a drop of water into an ocean... because they're still a lot of G3 stuff inside of his garage  ::) :P

OK, I dismantle it

...and load it into my car, with other G3 items :

Some items have to go at the first floor in my house. Hopefully my wife is helping me  :P

The base of the seat will go into the shed in the garden

3 on 6... check it out :

...to continue...

My wife took a lot of pictures, and she also filmed some parts of the dismantling... of course, I hope Burt (my team member) will remember all the details  ::) :P
