OK guys.
Can some of the German guys indicate me to a good/cheap German flight booking site ?
The thing is we want to fly from Holland to the East side of the US.
Ideally, flights would be:
Amsterdam-NYC
Boston-Amsterdam
Now comes the funny thing. If I book this flight for the desired dates directly from/to Amsterdam, I have to pay MORE than if I would fly from Dusseldorf.
So, suggest I book flight KL0641 directly, I have to pay 993 Euro for 1 adult ticket.
Now, if I fly the SAME flight KL0641 but FIRST fly from Dusseldorf to Amsterdam I pay ONLY 664 Euro !!!!
A whopping 329 Euro difference for 1 ticket, and I will need 3 (2 adults, 1 child). The difference in total for this is 861,16 Euro, in other words a FREE iPad plus extra's !!!!

The insane thing is that I will be on the SAME flight as someone who booked the more expensive flight from Amsterdam.
Sooo, our OWN DUTCH Royal Airlines is ROYALLY SCREWING it's "own" citizens !!!
I know about this practice and that it has been going on for ages and that it's all about competition bla-bla, but it DOES make people move totally unnecessary kilometers and thus unnecessarily loading the environment....and of course, it's a completely insane system !
Now, I have a feeling that it probably works the same way around too....so that's why I would like to try and see if there are any interesting offers from German flight companies.
The really funny thing is that on my return trip from Boston to Amsterdam, in the case of the "German" variant, I will actually be flying DIRECTLY from Boston to Amsterdam and then would have to fly to Dusseldorf, but in the "Dutch"/direct option I would fly from Boston to Paris and then from Paris to Amsterdam !!!!
So....it seems like the system is programmed to decieve you so that you think you can't get off in Amsterdam and "forget" to take the flight to Dusseldorf.
Now, I know that you can't pass on the outbound flight from Dusseldorf to Amsterdam, if you do that you get a "no show" at that flight and the Amsterdam to NYC part will be cancelled.
However, who is going to stop me from asking to label the luggage for Amsterdam at the return trip and get out in Amsterdam and head for home straight from there. Anyone ever done this ?
