Technical Area / Re: How can I connect sony ldp NTSC to Pal tv
« on: May 03, 2008, 11:50:15 AM »
"that green TV connector" is called BNC connector. The audio connectors are called RCA connectors. Often on regular TVs you find only RCA inputs for both composite video and audio. Video is usually yellow, audio are black and white or red and white.

High-quality processing, see e.g. the disc recording puck from solid material.
Can the one to watch in the conventional laser disc films used.

However, on the other connections, which use a laser disc arcade machines,

The LDG technology offered in the 70s and 80s incredible picture and sound quality at slot machines,
No one contributed tiny pixel sprites, but experienced glory in film image quality.

The player is for his age in good condition, has just successfully tested again,

He has many connections:

The Remote facilitated by computer from these players, possibilities

Hi,
most of the newer TVs in Italy are capable of displaying NTSC composite video, if provided via composite input or SCART connector (not via antenna input). This player is NTSC only and doesn't offer RGB video output, so you have two options :

- use a BNC to RCA adapter and hook it up to your TV in either a composite video input or the composite input of the SCART connector. If your TV set is capable of displaying also NTSC signal, then you will be fine. If not, you'll see a black and white picture.

- buy a NTSC to PAL or a NTSC to SCART (RGB) adapter, then connect the Sony LDP to any italian TV using this adapter. They are not so expensive, you can buy only for less than 50 euros.

Check the laserdisc player cable from the boards to the Hi-Tech or LaserAce. Are you sure it's plugged in right and not backwards ? Please post a pic of your setup showing all the connections.
Also make sure the jumpers on the Hi-Tech or LaserAce are configured properly. Check their respective manuals.

Hmm...by looking at the pics it seems like you are extending your lair in a way that it will end very very close to the border fence. Is that allowed  in Belgium ? Here in Italy every building has to be at least 5 meters from the border line between one's property and another.

Dragon's Lair / Space Ace / My Euro DL cab
« on: November 01, 2007, 06:18:19 PM »
HI madsjm,
nice cab, not so bad after all. You have all the parts to restore it to original conditions, so please don't Daphnetize it ! :)
The only hard to find part is a not rotted Philips LD, but you can always use my EuroDL interface and a Software Corner DL LD after all.
Please note that the Atari Audio Regulator II boards are not used as sound boards in Euro DL but just as power supply boards. The whole sound circuitry is on the Euro DL board itself.
Good luck with the restoration and please post pics when done !
