Indeed, according to the government controlled media. Who always tell the truth in North Korea of course 

Translation: they bought these machines from China (the only friend North Korea has left), put them in a building, gathered some people to make a few awesome pictures, close the doors and leave it to rot. Or maybe Kim Jong-Un's friends play the machines every now and then....

My inlaws have a basement which is partly below ground water level. It's built using prefab concrete elements and it's as good as completely watertight. In a corner of the basement garage is a sump pump in case of heavy rainfall, but since the build of the house 10 years ago they never had any water in the basement. But hey, we're talking about the Dutch here, we all but invented building in wet circumstances  

And freak storms with power outages only happen about once every 10 years or so, in the whole country  

but would it be worth it to dig and dig to find it?

Sure it is, but not to get any financial gain from whatever it is they will unearth. The sole reason is to debunk a 30 year old myth, and find out what's REALLY the truth behind this whole story.

Or maybe the REAL E.T. has already unearthed all those things years ago, and decided that with THAT technology it's absolutely not yet worthwile to make contact with humankind
