Well....
Bought a "Working" Maximum Force /Area 51 PCB and Hard Drive on ebay...
recieved it today with mixed feelings... (_ANGER_)
WTH was he thinging about????
A cap is torn apart, and the ROM has all legs bend! _see pictures_

I light of that poor wrapping (_NONE_) can i give him bad feedback?

OMG!! That is NOT acceptable :shock:, I would definitely give the seller bad feedback!
He should have known the postal services don't handle packages with care. Everything is loose in that box. ::) He needed to put lots of bubble wrap around that pcb and hard drive, like all reputable sellers do.

did you pay with paypal? if so, i'd ask my money back, if not i'd ask the seller to get a refund because of bad packaging. i wouldn't start with a bad feedback, would keep it as a last option ;)

all the things i have through e-bay or other ways that needed shipping where alway good wrapped, even if it was not fragile....

Hah, you've never seen the pics of the smashed glass marquees and CRT's ?
The most insane one I saw was a guy who shipped a monitor (without proper packaging) and put some extra power supply near the neck of the CRT......guess what happened....
I'm not that sure if you can get your money back from PayPal if he withdraw the money to his bank account ?
I recently did a repair from someone in the UK and he payed through PP and I feared he might demand back the money after receiving the repaired board. I would have preferred European bank transfer, but in the UK they can receive but cannot pay with the IBAN and BIC codes (!!!!). I instantly moved the money from my PP account to my bank and since I don't keep any money on the PP account I can't see how PP could get the money back. They cannot get money from my bank account just like that ( I hope).
Anyway, back on topic: I agree with what Ully suggested.
Oh, and Muerto, this is bad enough to publish his name/user account on forums and/or e-bay to prevent us from falling into the same trap.

whoever told you that was either lying or doesn't know anything about banking.
true, currently you still cannot do an online transfer internationally with a personal account, you would always have to go into a bank and fill in some forms (i have the forms at home so i fill them in before i go to the bank)... but to say you cannot send money under IBAN and BIC codes is just nonsense.
you can reclaim money from paypal even if their account has no money in it.

There is NO excuse whatsoever for proper packing and shipping!
If the seller won't work with you, contact eBay ASAP! Only leave negative feedback if the seller won't refund you.

I actually found that info on the internet myself, plus the UK guy said he couldn't find the option in his on-line banking and was planning to contact his bank about it. I figured he'd be OK and accepted the PP and it worked out fine for both of us. Anyway, it's even _more_ ridiculous that you _can_ do it by going to your bank but not on-line....

By the way, Muerto, thanks for that ebay name, I do think he has a pretty low score. Anything below 98% is suspicious for me personally....

i got an extra HD for the Area 51 game..... not much though..
- though he said when i powered up the game, if there were somthing wrong, he would send me a new chip.... fingers crossed

That is not true. we can pay using IBAN and BIC/SWIFT just fine.

P-man on jammaplus has 2 Area 51 main boards complete if you need some spares.
