here we go, another "how to ..." topic ;)
a simple question with hopefully a simple answer:
how do i remove the pins / wires from this plug (see pictures) without damaging / destroying them?

I'll bet you can push them through with an ice pick. I don't think they're plastic welded in there, just somewhat stamped in. If you have a spare/scrap, try it on that first. ;)

i've already pushed and pushed and pushed with a larger paper clip which fits perfectly into the hole ... nothing's moving!
there must be some kind of barbed hook on the pins which prevents them from being pushed out. any idea what this kind of plug is called? i could do a google search then :ghost:

I think you would need a molex pin extractor:

Yep, you definitely need that pin extractor. I use them at work regularly, even with that extractor it can sometimes be a PITA to get those pins out. >:(

but these aren't molex pins, are they? they look different, the plug is different, and there doesn't seem to be enough space to slide the remover in.
