Hi,
I've started work on a Zaccaria/Associated Leisure Hyper Sports cabinet that has a damaged control panel overlay:
http://www.zzzaccaria.com/HyperSportsRestoration.htm (http://www.zzzaccaria.com/HyperSportsRestoration.htm)
Does anyone know whether the artwork for this overlay has been scanned or repro'ed yet? It was used on a few configurations with various joystick/button variations
but otherwise using the same base artwork. I'm hoping that if someone has artwork for the more common joystick variation that it can be used as a base to make this
Hyper Sports specific variation...
Thanks,
Paul.

Cool !! :P
I dont think the art is scanned yet

Has anyone ever tried peeling off this type of sticky overlay before? I might be willing to strip it down and try and get the overlay off so what's left of it can be scanned. Since it's relatively simple artwork and the main motif is complete, the missing art can probably be filled in based on the left side.
Just not sure it would survive trying to get it off in one piece :(

Perhaps with a heatgun ?
or injecting some glue disolver with a seringe between the sticker and the CP ?

I seem to vaguely remeber that chrischris had some magic product for sticker removal and that its still usable after..
Chris !!!! where are you ??? ;D

I still have some extra bottles its called un-du and it doesn't really do the wonders advertised but its still a good product for that task.
People say that the previous formula was working better but I cannot judge as I didn't try the previous version.

I did experiment using a heat gun but the overlay is delaminated in places and not in others. It's like trying to remove an egg shell - it's so fragile it just cracks apart :'(
I'm going to scan it in as is before trying again.
