Thought I'd share some pictures of my Donkey Kong cabinet I recently finished working on.
I've wanted one of these for a very long time, one of the most beautiful cabinet designs & artwork ever made I think :)
I was extremely lucky to manage to buy a cabinet that had been superbly restored on the outside, but none of the internal work had been done. It had been fitted with the wrong monitor, a jamma loom & psu.

When it arrived there wasn't anything inside, but the previous owner had managed to source a Sanyo monitor, loom, pcb & power supply.
I took it to my friends at the Arcade Barn and tried to hook it all up. I couldn't believe it when everything worked! The psu had settings for 240v as well so it was very easy to get going.

Switched around the yoke plugs and the picture was the right way up, hooked up some controls and had a few games.

When I was home I started putting it in the cab.

Added the loom, applied missing decals and rebuilt control panel.

Moved in to my office and added the last pieces.

And here it is all finished and back to original.

It sits next to my Egret II candy cab, 2 different ages of the arcade.

I have a few spinner games, Arkanoid, Arkanoid Returns & Puchi Carat. Handy to have the rotate mech to switch from horizontal to vertical :)
