Hello GermanCoasterBoy and welcome to the European side of the Lair 8)
In order to help you, we need the description of your setup of course ;)
OK, I presume you have an Atari Dragon's Lair regarding the pictures on your website :
Your player is broken, that's it ?
...and now you've this picture when you plug the game ?
The only solution would be to repair the original Philips player (you're lucky, there are here the best specialists for that hardware), or make an interface like I did (see this post (https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=43.msg223#msg223)) in order to use other laser disc players like the sony, more easy to found and more reliable 8)
Just give us more details ;)
-
Okay thanks, the player tries to read the disc but it is only to break and plays the disc is not. The player was ever Repairs since I did not know about electronics I've had more to the Optical care! I also bought a completely new sticker! I see you have almost the same problem but I need a player with Pal 110 volts, oh yes there would be nor what the laser disc has white spots of the laser, the then Technical problems or is this okay?

I don't understand why do you need a 110V player.
Your main socket bring 220V at the beginning, so it's easy to hook a 220V player at this point for your player.
Can you put some pictures of the inside of your cab, in order to see exactly all the connection with the power supply ?
-
My father I think it has already written and says we have a player with 110 volts Pal need because there is something built where the current runterregelt there like a European version of Dragon's Lair? If the chop of the player difficult? Tell me where I buy what, I trust them! Images come today!

You have now three options in order to play Dragon's Lair again on your cab :
1- Repair the original laser disc player (not easy, but some specialists here can do it ;))
2 - Build the EuroDL Interface ...
... like I did on that post (https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=43.msg223#msg223) and you'll be able to use a laser disc player more reliable than the Philips one.
All the details about the Matteo's EuroDL interface on the DLP site, right here (http://www.dragons-lair-project.com/tech/docs/eurodl.asp).
3 - Install & Configure the Daphne Emulator on your cab. See the Daphne emulator details right here (http://www.daphne-emu.com/site3/index_hi.php).

Hello would like a new player installed, the second link was not for me. I would like to buy a player if possible in Germany, I can hack the player he power of the Dragon's Lair gets? Can I Buy this player or this player?

You cannot use another LD player than the original Philips laser disc player on your Euro Dragon's Lair cab :-\
But If you choose to build the EuroDL Interface, you'll be able to use one of these models :
- Philips VP380 (PAL / NTSC)
- Philips VP312 (PAL)
- Philips VP406 (PAL)
- Pioneer LD-V4300D (PAL / NTSC)
- Sony LDP-1550P (PAL)
- Sony LDP-3600D (PAL / NTSC)
Please check this page (http://www.d-l-p.com/tech/docs/eurodl.asp) to understand.
-
Thank you for their work but where can I get even one of them recommended players still buy it?
But I would like a Sony, Philips player, I just enough.

Ebay is mostly the only way to buy laser disc players nowadays :?
Fortunately for you, ebay Germany is a good place for finding them :P
Luck, perseverance... and patience is the key on this hobby ;)

As far as other LD players are not tested and validated , consider only these models compatible... BUT you need to build the EURODL converter (http://www.dragons-lair-project.com/tech/docs/eurodl.asp) in order to use one of these players.

The first one is NTSC only so it's not good for an Euro machine which plays PAL discs.
The second one is a home LD player, it has no interface to connect to a game pcb and cannot be used at all.

Bye,
Matteo

I don't understand why do you need a 110V player.
The original Philips laserdisc player inside the machine runs at 110 V. The Atari power supply plug for the LD player has thus 110 V AC voltage output :
However it is not a big problem. You can always buy a euro LD player like a Sony LDP-3600D which can be switched to run at 110/120 V AC by means of a switch on the back of the player.
http://www.laserdiscarchive.co.uk/laserdisc_archive/sony/sony_ldp-3600/sony_ldp-3600.htm (http://www.laserdiscarchive.co.uk/laserdisc_archive/sony/sony_ldp-3600/sony_ldp-3600.htm)
See "Voltage selector" switch in the second picture, upper left corner.

Yes, check out these links as suggested by Bruno :
http://www.dragons-lair-project.com/tech/docs/eurodl.asp (http://www.dragons-lair-project.com/tech/docs/eurodl.asp)
http://www.dragons-lair-project.com/tech/docs/edlschack.asp (http://www.dragons-lair-project.com/tech/docs/edlschack.asp)
Other options are :
- come to visit me in Italy with your dead player and we'll see if it can be fixed
- bring your dead player to the next Euromeet and hope someone fixes it :P
- watch eBay Germany and UK and wait for a Philips VP831 or VP835
http://www.laserdiscarchive.co.uk/laserdisc_archive/philips/philips_vp-835/philips_vp835.htm (http://www.laserdiscarchive.co.uk/laserdisc_archive/philips/philips_vp-835/philips_vp835.htm)
http://www.laserdiscarchive.co.uk/laserdisc_archive/philips/philips_vlp-831/philips_vlp831.htm (http://www.laserdiscarchive.co.uk/laserdisc_archive/philips/philips_vlp-831/philips_vlp831.htm)
Either one of these player will directly work in your machine only using the EuroDL HW adapter. You can build one as described on www.d-l-p.com
Good luck and please treat your Atari machine with care, otherwise... :spaceace:

Yes, this one *should* work because it's on the same 'model range' than the ones already tested with the EuroDL PC Conversion Card (http://www.d-l-p.com/tech/docs/eurodl.asp), but you must understand that you'll have also to setup a computer and build an EuroDL PC Conversion Card :spaceace:

A little bit patience GermanCoasterBoy ;)
Did you already have the LDP-3300P laser disc player ?
If yes, follow the instruction right here, on d-l-p website (http://www.d-l-p.com/tech/docs/eurodl.asp).
All the instruction are well explained. I strongly suggest you to ask someone with you who understand English to translate you what's written there in German
You have all the data, now it's up to you 8)

Yes, I also have an Atari Dragon's Lair, but its condition is not as nice as yours. I am still waiting for some parts to bring it to life, especially the original laserdisc player. I've been waiting for that for almost two years, the seller is a bit slow. :)

What they need for parts? I want my Dragon's Lair and wants to sell at least 2000 € I know that as machines get much cheaper but the Dragon's Lair, there is something special, apart from that I have more than 1000 have invested €!
If he is under 2000 € does not sell, I keep him rather than later once the economy still more value!

From the Mateo's doc on DLP
A PC motherboard with two serial ports. COM1 is for the laserdisc player and COM2 is for the Dragon's Lair PCB. You should check your bios settings to have COM1 at address 0x3F8, IRQ 4 and COM2 at address 0x2F8, IRQ 3, however these are the standard settings of most PCs. You'll need a floppy or a hard drive to boot the software.
A cable to connect the laser disc player to the PC (note that different laser disc players may use different serial cables).
Just use an old second hand computer, even a Pentium I or Pentium II in order to be sure to have at least 2 com ports. The processor doesn't need to be fast, because the gateway software doesn't need a lot of resource. I'm sure a Pentium 133 mhz is enough.
-
- an IC MAX232 manufactured by Maxim
- five capacitors are 1 µF 16 V
- a red led with a 750 Ohm resistor
- a 5 wire cable (from PCB to EuroDL interface)
- a 5 wire cable (from EuroDL interface to PC serial port)
- a 6 pin male Molex connector (for connecting to EuroDL PCB)
- a 9 or 25 pin female connector (for connecting to PC serial port)
- a cable with a wire nipper at the end to get + 5 V from the EuroDL PCB
- a socket for the IC MAX232
- a small multihole PCB...........

This hobby require you to do some work & research by yourself... and also a little bit of patience :-\ All the informations you need are already written on this post !
Sony LDP-1500P should be fine if it has a serial interface. Maybe Matteo can confirm it.
All the parts you need can be found in an electronic shop...

You won't be able to play Dragon's Lair with your Sony LDP-1500 if you don't built the Euro Interface...
Get all the parts for building it and read all the instructions from the links given on this topic. If you don't understand, ask someone to translate it in German.
Sorry but I close this topic until you'll make some progress on the interface. Feel free to contact me via private message.
It's all in your hands now ;)
