So my donkey kong stopped working after Eurocade... :(
It won't boot up right and shows the screen below, any idea what could be the problem?

Well, the first symptom of a game who doesn't boot anymore is mostly a power supply issue. Did you already checked the voltage coming for your power supply?
-
since it was after moving the cabinet, perhaps it was a bumpy ride, so i would check all connectors and see what happens
if nothing changes, you know where to send your boardset i guess ;D
-
no need for that because it was indeed a connector.... ;D
-
Glad it was just that :)
-
Guess it wasn't a connectors because the problem is now back! :(
So i i'll need to check the voltages, any idea where to start?
Edit: i have a spare working Nintendo power supply, i plugged that in but the problem is still there.....

Yeah, the problem is that you have numbers instead of that huge monkey. ;D ;D ;D

Measure the +5V at the boardset.

Thanks, i believed Etienne showed me a while ago that there are also testpoints on the pcb itself (besides the connectors)?
How do i identify those? It's the 4 board version, so multiple small connectors.
-
Have you tried re-seating the eproms on the board itself?

+1

Thanks guys, i'll try that this evening..

And when that doesn't work, then clean the edge connector(s), with a 'potloodgum'. Or do that first, because it probably is a good thing to do anyway. And is the edge connector making good contact?
By the way, I first thought it was a killscreen! :o Or your High Score!

Thanks for the advice, but there's no edge connector on this pcb, it's the 4 board version, so various small connectors.
The guys on klov also advised me to re-seat the roms and z80 chip on the cpu board, let's hope that will fix the problem..

this pcb set (4 pcb) don't have a edge connector
oeps dubbel posting :)

No problem, now we can see the gorilla instead of those numbers. ;D ;D ;D

Glad it's working again! Made a picture because it's so beautiful, by far my #1 cab. ;D ;)
