Title: SW yoke wiring
Post by: Russ J on August 05, 2012, 11:49:42 AM
What's to correct 'gauge' of wiring that's on the SW yoke..?

Here's a piccy of mine....as you can see the wiring is a bit of a botch job (does work but i'm wanting to tidy it all up)

I can get wiring from Swallow Amusements,

http://www.coin.demon.co.uk/-misc.htm#e

But they do stock differant gauges of wiring...

Also i'm wanting to replace the connectors at the ends,

now Swallow does these as well but again in a few differant sizes...which ones will i need ?  (i only need the 'male' parts if you no what i mean)

Wire gauge is totally unimportant for these controls as they carry very little current.

Those connector pin sizes always completely confuse me....

Here is a little help:

from Bob Roberts' site. Here are all the pins and connectors available:

I've ordered some wire and connectors from Swallow (if the connectors are wrong they didn't cost much to buy,i'm pretty confident they are gonna be ok though ***fingers crossed***  :D)

I -think- it is the 093 size usually for Atari cabs...so I hope you ordered that.

Just looked at my order and these are the pins i've ordered,

0.093" Crimp plug pin. 14-20 AWG

They do have 2 sizes so i took a gamble and ordered the above...so going by your info looks like i've ordered the right ones  ;D
