Title: My Black Tiger Dedicated Resto.
Post by: Biomech011 on June 29, 2012, 12:17:31 PM
Hey guys, thought I share with you guys on what's going on with my projects.
Currently I'm building a Dedicate Black Tiger cab.

Did most of the body work, cleaned it up. Picked up some matte vinyl & applied some life to this cabinet.
Tested out my kick panel that I made at work. Its stainless, but I plan to powder coat it.
Got the decals printed up And the CPO being made as we speak.
Its slowly all coming out with the help of my buddies Etienne and Mikonos.

The goal is to make a fully Completed dedicated Black Tiger cab.

When completed, this will go for sale.

Here's a few Shots, enjoy:

When I was 15 my parents and I moved in a completely different neighbourhood, I didn't like it one bit except for the fact that on the corner of my "new" street there was a pub and inside that pub was a (not dedicated) Black Tiger/Dragon.
I spent hours on it and that particular game is a bit my "madeleine de Proust".
I remember that I was always stuck at some point (quite far in the game). It wasn't the end of the game but it looked like some kind of dead end.
Back on the topic: Good job on this really cool game, so far!

Black Tiger is a fun game back made in 87. (Romstar/Capcom)

You could go a long way with 1 credit if you were a beginner, and the game play is Great....
It wasn't in most popular spot. This was a kit game, so you normally would find this game in
beat up old cabinets in bars/pubs, not so popular pizza joint, quick marts & bus stops.

Great platform game. Weapons were cool too!

Here's a sample if you'd like to see:

It's the age...I lost interest in (most) arcade games after a certain game was released and this is from a later date....although there of course are plenty exceptions, but f.i. 720 I had never heard of either, so don't feel bad...

First second of the game, turn back and fire your weapons at the wall, there's a hidden bonus in there  ;)
I wouldn't say it was popular here but it was a quite common game in my area (maybe it's just that the local operator had received a bunch of bootlegs and spread them around).

:!: :o   hard to believe 80's followers as you didnt know  Black tiger !   it's a real gem of Capcom,  beautiful crisp graphics, bonus, ambiance, platforms.   if you had played it in old times, you'll love to play it again !    remembering in Bayonne near spain in a little bar,  times & times to wait to play it as it was an addictive game for anyone around  :P

The definition of classic is volatile.
