Hobbits, Aliens are all nice and stuff.....but this is the real candy IMHO:

http://www.deadline.com/2011/08/ridley-scott-ready-to-direct-new-version-of-seminal-sci-fi-film-blade-runner/

...as long as they give a call to Friesland to ask Rutger of course ;)

The only man that makes a decent coffee commercial (compare to the shitty George Clooney one's !)

...and with all respect but that guy doing that speech is a nice rookie compared to Rutger, then again Rutger is my favorite actor ever.

My favourite from Rutger is Split Second.

Yeah, and don't forget Titanic in 3D...... ;)

Yes, Titanic is a good movie, but i don´t think it will be greater in 3D, simply because they have to "cheat 3D it"!!

Of course finally will we see how big Kate Winslet's bo.......uhm the Titanic really is !

No, I agree with you but it IS a movie worth watching on the big screen anytime and maybe my son will like it....don't think I'll bring him to any of the other mentioned movies just yet ;)

Why not bring him to the Hobbit? - i don´t know if he has seen LOTR - Fellowship, Two Towers and King, but if he hasn't, that would be a great way to see them chronologically...
And i think they are rated PG13?? can´t remember, and i don´t bother to check  ;D

US ratings are meaningless in this country. Then again, Dutch ratings are meaningless to me too. I decide what I think my child is fit for and will not cause him nightmares.

He's seen all the SW stuff so that doesn't scare him. Some SW stuff is rated 12 here which I find kinda' weird.
He's seen some Harry Potter but he was looking away at the scary scenes....

The funny thing is in the US the rating would probably be high for Titanic because of Kate's naked tits scene :)
A million violently killed people is OK, but not a nipple !  Jeez, it's one of the first things a baby sees ! :)

Anyway, he's just turned 10 and still grabs my hand when we are walking in the darkish alley to my parents house. I do not believe that confronting of really scary stuff to young kids is a good thing. I'm talking f.i. the Alien(s) movies, that would be a no-no. He can see those when he's a bit older.

The LOTR movies...maybe in a year or two....there's no rush. These will survive and I'm sure they will all be 3Ded by that time and on the big screen again  by that time ;) ;)

Completely understand what your mean!
Youre right about the ratings, they don´t tell anything!

I'm really disappointed. :-\
The only good thing in this movie was Charlize Theron, she looks awesome. :D
