Seems a laserdisk game based on the starblazers franchise by taito did hit it in japan for a while:

Might anyone have info on this? it's preservation would be greatly appreciated by the fans of the franchise...

I thought I read about a collector having a marquee, but not much more than that.
Here is some more info if you read Japanese:

The Taito laserdisc stuff is extremely rare.
I spy a converted Namco Pole Position cockpit in the background hehe :-X

I read that article before (at starblazers.com). As far as I know this was a rare game that came out only in Japan. Similar to Astron Belt/Galaxy Ranger with some Dragon's Lair type levels mixed in.

This threw me for a second.
Galaxy Ranger is actually called Star Blazer in Japan: http://flyers.arcade-museum.com/?page=thumbs&db=videodb&id=6346
So I thought it would be that, but it's not and it is indeed a Taito game.
Very close names, seperated just be an 's' !

Pity: It looks like a blast!
Might taito themselves have an operational cab in their archives?

Sorry, simple question, but is anyone here fluent in japanese?
does the owner of the blog own a yamato cab? If not, perhaps he would know of taito or ex taito members who do...
