Found on Ebay Italy:
http://www.ebay.it/itm/MOBILE-CABINATO-DA-BAR-OUT-RUN-1987-/330637545232?pt=Giochi_da_Bar_Flipper_Jamma&hash=item4cfb888f10
Unfortunately it has been converted into Out Run, fortunately by selling the Out Run stuff the missing pieces can be purchased.

At first we thought they did not exist anymore, and recently 2 pass the revue
Unbelievable :D
-
Not sure that that was a Buck Rodgers initially, we'de have to see the back side but that may be converted as well...
The one I found was a general cockpit cab and never meant for a specific game. SO, I think Outrun isn't a bad choice for this cab, although it doesnt match the artwork of course.....
-
Nice one, but to find the missing parts is a mission impossible. :-\
-
Looks to me if the steering wheel dash fits perfectly! Maybe it's original for driving games?
-
That could very well be the case. The one I found also had a hole for a shifter at the same place.

I like when a game is not correctly advertised ;D : MOBILE CABINATO DA BAR OUT RUN 1987
OK, let's keep pictures of that one before the ebay ad will be gone...
-
It's probably the generic cockpit used for Outrun. Doesn't look like a factory conversion, though Zac had some Sega licenses (e.g. Buck Rogers), more likely an operator conversion.

The lack of any Sega logo's on the steering/cp made me wonder if this might be a bootleg setup - I checked MAME and there was reference to the existence of an Outrun bootleg PCB...

Not sure that the outrun game in-there is the arcade version :-\
-
Hah yeah ! Well spotted....
-
It is definitely a BUCK ROGERS cockpit made by ZCCARIA.
This was what I had:

What do you see that makes you think it was a converted Buck Rogers versus the Universal cockpit like this one?

They are so close to being identical, it's possible it was BR but the control panel and back glass look to fit more with the Universal.

Auction ended with 0 bids

Yeah, this cab is too weird for the people who like Outrun and impossible to convert it back for Zacc lovers. :-\
