Does anybody have a slideshow on Flickr or so? I have lots of problems viewing the pics on the previous page hosted on Imageshack.

that's because imageshack sucks so much!!! i don't understand why people keep on using that crap ... so damn slow, shitty ads!

Because some people use a good internet connection and don't feel that there is something slow or whatever ..
Some things are not so super as they supposed to be ..

i would say that i have a damn good internet connection and it still takes forever to load those imageshack pictures - especially when you have to click on every sinlge one of them. why not switch to something else like flickr and "embed" the pics in the post?

I can't see any delay at imageshack .. from here the pics open like the local disk ..
Maybe the reason is my Mac or the 50k downstream .. I don't know ..

I deleted the pics so that you guys will have no delay .

Thanks

Dietmar

Also, nicht böse gemeint  :)

google translate :
Dietmar, please do not use the war the wrong way. The thumbnails are not displayed delayed, but if you click on the images, which is at 99% of all images gääähnend slowly. I am so not busy, because I either the forum attached to my webspace or upload to the gallery, but I think there are better pictures Hoster.

So, do not mean any harm :)

google translate :
I was of course not mean any harm, but that which was spoken by luigi agrees 100% - no matter whether the image hack pictures come from you or from other users. the part is simply uuuuuuuunheimlich slowly and in addition has the annoying advertising! why not embed the images directly here?

Just zip your pictures and send me the files over www.rapidshare.de for instance.
Don't exceed the 900 pixels for your pictures  8)

honestly, i can't see why you think this discussion is useless. obviously there are people out there who are having problems with imageshack. these problems have been reported to you so that you might change it in the future. instead, you're saying the thread is useless and delete your pictures ...

This discussion IS useless.
You have problems with imageshack ? for you it's to lame and too much adverts ?
So I deleted the pics, because I don't wanna see that here every second message is : IS sucks, IS is laggy IS is this or that.
I porefered it, because its easy to use, I use upload and managing Tools on my Mac that make i really easy for me.
I'm not a Computerspecialist like you .. so I use what works fine for ME ..
And that's exactly what I mean .. we do discuss about things, I don't like to discuss about .
Feel free to use a Imageservice what ever you like and/or prefer .
Thats what I mean with "useless thread" .. what are we talking about ?
We will never get a result here in this thread , so it's useless ..

regards

Dietmar

I'm sorry that I have written in German but my englisch is not good enough to find the correct words for what I wanted to say.

I just wanted to say that we didn't want to attack 2-mad personally.

But someone better delete the whole thread or this will never end.

It was not ment bad of me that i put the google translate post there, i just figured there will maybe be more people intersted in the opinion of others that dont speak german. (like me, i only know "guttentag"  ;D)

anyway, i will not interfere in this discussion, just want to let you guys know why i posted the "google translation"

I can ofcourse understand why you wrote it in your main language, as that is also didi's main language  :D

Imageshack sucks for me also. I never watch the pictures, it takes much too long time to built up.

Title: Picture uploading ..
Post by: 2-mad on September 14, 2011, 10:13:58 PM
Hi @all ..
I installed a own webserver in my house and I installed a picture-gallery on it.
There's enough HDD-Space on it and can be expanded if need, so feel free to register for free and
create picture-galleries as you want to.
Everything is for free so you can upload what you want to up to 10MB per file.

Just go to this dyndns site : http://2mad.dyndns.org/ (http://2mad.dyndns.org/)

Try to register, try to create galleries and upload pics .. no adverts no nothing .. and up to 10MBit/s Bandwith ..

I hope it will work .. I'm not a specialist :-)

Regards

Didi
