Hi everyone!
Some people may remember I was searching for a SegaSonic The Hedgehog. Well...I finally found one! ;D
At the moment the pcb is still somewhere between the USA and Belgium.
My next quest is to find a Sega Aero City trackpanel panel to go with this game. If anyone knows where I can find one, let me know!
This is the panel:

The trackballs don't necessarily have to be included, but are very welcome ;).

best bet is to look on Yahoo Japan Auctions...
good luck
-
Thanks!
I used Google translate and searched for "トラックボール" (trackball) on Yahoo Japan auctions and found a lot of naomi virtua golf control panels (besides 100's of trackball mice :)). So I guess this could give me some good result in time.
Can you recommend me any other search terms that could give me some result?

Hi petieken,
very happy to know you are an aerocity cab owner too
For the trackpanel I checked right now 20 minutes of yahoo japan and found nothing :(
Maybe you could call mak japan or g-front and ask them
Mav
I've got anyway an aerocity panel still in the garage,
If nothing comes out from your search tomorrow inform me and see what we can do to help you
Hope it will help you :)

I have emailed a few Japanese arcade companies including Mak Japan & G-Front. I am now waiting for replies.
Does somebody know if/how you can save a search on Yahoo Japan Auctions so I get an email when an item is listed (like eBay) ?

Basically if I remember well no,
yahoo japan is extremely different than ebay as you've seen
Anyway wait for their answer (if it comes) then decide

What bidding service do you use for buying stuff from YAJ?
Someone recommended Rinkya to me and I signed up for an account but I'll have to wait for approval now. It's the first time I'll be trying to buy stuff from YAJ.

I use Shopping Mall Japan.
Contact RKLOK, top guy importing stuff from YAJ and Japan. I can give you his email.
*edit*
http://www.rklok.nl/
you can reach him there. Top-seller, say ElPancho sent you and you should be cool.
I've used both in the past to import stuff and trough RKLOK is least hassle.
And ...... you wanna bid more than they're asking; last one I saw went for 6000 and was in worse shape .....
-
I contacted Ronnie from Rklok and he will bid on the panel for me, and import it if I have the winning bid.
Fingers crossed :)
Thanks for all the help from you guys!

The guys over at AO spotted this one aswell.
Is gonna fetch good money this one, is my guesstimation ..... how bad do you want it ;-)
-
This is going to be a nasty bidwar...
....Crossing fingers, grabs wood,...
-
Congrats on that steal.
Well ..... shipping is gonna bite a little
Well done !

Thanks! I was surprised too, only 38€. Shipping and commisions are going to cost me a lot more! But hey, at least I'll have the complete panel now ;D I didn't think I would find one this quick.
Next quest: Obtain art (marquee, instructions and move strip) for SegaSonic. :)

I received this today 8):

It's previous (Japanese) owner hacked the wiring and put on DB15 connectors :(, so I'll have to source an original connector to plug it into the SegaSonic trackball interface.
