Saddest arcade I have ever seen...
« on: March 01, 2018, 01:26:55 PM »
I have been to many, many arcade venues in Europe and the USA (Disney Quest Woohoo!) but last week I found the saddest arcade ever in Mons, Belgium. I have never seen anything like this. Some of the machines were not only broken but opened! So many broken and trashed machines like no one even cares they are there anymore...

Sega rally 2 completely broken and Outrun 2 with the notorious "GD rom not found error"

The Lost world machine was completely unreachable!

Lost world, start button stolen, projection screen smashed and trash everywhere!

Even the Let's go island underwent the same fate, screen also smashed.

Do people eat the seats or what????

Airhockey machines broken open!  :o :o :o

much dirt and loose wires inside

How do these people expect to make any money?

That is truly a sad sight to see.

Or start a Leetchi cagnotte to pay for a  few clean up hours?
Dreaming of a Namco Galaxian waiting in a barn for me... somewhere! A Nintendo Sheriff would also make me happy. And a SNK Sasuke Vs Commanders or a SEGA Samurai... Argh too many; in fact!

If I'm right, it's an arcade outside of a cinema, close to some restaurants, a laser game and a brewery. It's accessible from everyone, but there is no manager to check machines state. So as humanity is not going to improve itself, people trend to destroy things when they can (especially when in group), instead of keeping them in a good state and take pleasure where they can.
