Gameroom V2
« on: September 13, 2016, 11:44:37 PM »
Ok a big update on my gameroom...
Well actually we recently moved to another house and I constructed a brand new wood skeleton gameroom measuring 8 by 4,5m.

Foundations 60cm around, rest 15cm all reinforced.
Fully isolated in the ceiling (pur) and walls.
Outside with thermowood class 1 wood (should last 20 years), double door, extra rubbers isolation, security and hinges, epdm roof cover, drainage towards the sewer, 2 ventilation grills, ...

Inside off course a floor, OSB on the walls and lots of outlets on 3 circuits.

This means I have more room now..

Me happy now.  The room really stays cool during these hot summer days.  Even when the sun is fully shining on it.

The rendering of before construction how I wanted the games arranged.  Stil don't have the second racer and the two pins in the center. ;)

A photo during construction time:

Time to move the heavy beasts after a few months being in storage:

My midway cabinets from the 90ties

Revolution X and Lethal Enforcers 2

The pinballs

My newest additions, Afterburner and Outrunners which would have never fit in my previous gameroom.

Still have a lot of arcade, pinball goodies to use for decoration...
MK2, UMK3, KI, WWF, NBA JAM TE, REVX, LE2, AfterBurner, Outrunners twin, Virtua Racing twin and 7 pins

Being more into the older stuff your selection of cabs is not my cup of tea. But your gameroom looks very nice so far! :)

Are you planning to paint the walls and 'close' the ceiling or will it stay like it is? This open ceiling would be nice to put some cool lights or arcade stuff between the beams  8)

I was born in 1981... so to me it's logic i'm connecting more toward the nineties games.

At first no painting, or ceiling changes.  I kinda like the wood at the moment and it fits with the exterior of the building.

For decoration I have this already (coming from Belgians breakdance no1 fairground attraction):

I also have pinball trophies, revolution x original promo poster, wrestlemania midways original distribution cardboard, star trek the next generation original distrubition cardboard.

Also some huge 1,5m by 2,5m original movie vinyl banners from the theatre (suicide squad, avatar, legend of tarzan)  --> yes i like Margot Robbie :).

Those movie banners will perhaps be hung on the ceiling

This is totally up to you and I have no problem with that at all!! I was just curious :)

I like the idea of putting stuff between the beams  :spaceace:

fucking nice cabinets dude,

I was born in 1984 and im also a midway cab fan.

played the shit out of the MK cabs. The KI cabs i got myself a time a go.

Sold them because i was concerned about the lifetime of the crt monitors.

Are you live in Belgium to?
