Please note that DLF/ALS will be present during the first edition of a new exhibition called 'Back To Retro'  Smiley  arrow

It's all about vintages & retro toys & stuff, retrogaming, cosplay, comics, musics, collector stuff, star wars...
I will bring a selection of dedicated cabinets.
For those who cannot make the fantastic EUROCADE meeting the same week end, and those who are not too far from south Belgium, just come and have a beer/some games.  Smiley

So here's the plot : I got an empty room inside that gigantic hall for a week end, and 'carte blanche' to re-create a typical 80s arcade.
After many days of preparation, hours and hours to move cabinets (many road trips) before the exhibition, preparing the sound & light ambiance, etc...  Enough blabla! First, the pictures!  arrow

Welcome to the ephemeral Nuno's Lair "light version" game room!

Day 1 :

Only 80s games, no compromise! And I'll include some games you'll probably never see outside private game room like 'Space Ace', 'Burger Times' or 'Zaxxon'! Yes guys, I want to please the public first, but also want to enjoy myself a little bit!  Grin

Wow, guys from the 501st FanWars Garrison South Belgium inside the arcade, I mean... guys from the EMPIRE!  Cool  arrow

Vader himself! Impressive!  Exclamation

Between one & two thousands of people came that day  Shocked !!!... not an easy job to be an arcade operator! An amazing experience... and it's not over!  pacman  Ghost Ghost Ghost Ghost
It's done for now... let's get ready to go home... before an other crazy day I suspect!  Tongue

Stay Tuned...

Yeah... I'm dead! And it's a total mess inside my game room because of all theses moves... but I won't touch any arcade cabinet until at least one week!  Tongue

Nice pictures Bruno, very atmospheric. And wow, that many visitors! You must be exhausted, did you have any help moving cabs, explaining the magic of the games to visitors, etc?

Well, regarding the moves, I got some help of a friend, Sam, which is ...as strong as me ( oppps)... in short I was the man with the trolley for the 10 cabinets!  oppps At the expo, my wife was partially there to keep an eye on all the people coming into the arcade. Sam was also there to credit the games and give basics informations such games rules... But I had to do all the rest by myself...also got all the stress too! I even didn't visit the other stands except two or three, the ones close to the Arcade!
We planned to bring our daughter with us a couple of hours the second day, but we quickly had to forget the idea! Lips Sealed
But what an experience!  Cool
