15 minutes later... what ?

We stop

Let's eat quick    A dedicated Xevious is alone, outside...

... on the road again...

... in few seconds, the game will enter in Belgium  :P  8)

OK, arriving at my home

The gaming room is not finished yet, let's found empty space insise the house    :?

At a temporary location...

OK, now have a look inside the beast

... dust ... dust ... dust  :?  :?  :?

OK, yes, let's check the identity card    8)

Let's plug the thing...  :?:

Well, still don't know where the problem is exaclty located  :? ...

SO, I'll try another way  8)

I got a NAMCO Classic Collection vol 1 original pcb

it includes :

- Xevious 'original'
- Super Xevious 'original'
- Xevious 'Arrangement'
- Mappy 'original'
- Mappy 'Arrangement'
- Galaga 'original'
- Galaga 'Arrangement'

It's the Japanes import version :

It's a jamma, so it will be easy to wire...

I Got also a new arcade power supply, and of course a jamma harness.

Let's quickly plug the thing, just to check...

Ok, the pcb is ok :)

...but I got a problem on the monitor  :?

I can't have a full size picture  :?

It's an ElectroHome 19" G07 CB0 monitor.

The width coil doest effect the size anymore  :?

Well, I'll order a capkit first...

As you can see on tbe latest update, I need a new control panel overlay.

SO I'm removing the oginal 'damaged' overlay :

It is necessary to fully sand the panel, and also the piece of metal who joins the panel/bezel...

... after more than 3 weeks, I finally get the CPO repro :

Stay tuned

Well, I can't quickly fix the original Eletrohome monitor  :?
 I'm still not able to extend the picture to "full screen"

Hopefully I have two Hantarex spare monitors  :P

In fact I'm not sure if these two spare monitors work... so let's try one, outside the cab of course 8)

The Hantarex monitor needs 130w... like the original ElectroHome, so it'll be easy and quick to test it

Let's plug everything :

Yeah Baby Yeah, it's working fine  :D

OK, well, now I'm sure this Hantarex works, so let's remove the Electrome from the cab...

Here's the empy space, left by the Electrohome... let's see if I can fit the Hantarex in that hole    :?:

OK... the Hantarex is on location... same size  8)  The Force is with me today

Ok, I plug the monitor and... of course, bad colors...    Don't panic... it's usual after moving it, and changing the monitor orientation : horizontal to vertical...        So, I de-magnetize it, and...

...looks beautifull  :P

Argh,  I can't wait to play these games  :P  :P  :P

...Stay tuned

OK, I don't want to use modern switches for the stick and the buttons, so I'll clean as best as possible original hardware.

It's very dirty :?  :

...very very dirty    :

... it's the best I can do :

Ok, let's put them on the panel :

...closer...

...well, I put back original screws    mmhhh a lot of dust    I'll change them later :

... after all that work... time for some good time  :P  :P  :P

... Xevious Arrangement is WONDERFULL  :P  :P  :P  I played it like a crazy  :P  :P  :P

Stay Tuned
