Looking for Dragons Lair 1 or 2, Space Ace, Double Dragon, Robotron and yeah... a Shinobi would be cool, too!

Yesterday we moved the cabinet from my gameroom to my cellar, I'm really excited. :)

But.......I do dry electronics after I washed it .....like 6100 PCBs ;)

Thank god no, it seems they're all dead. But to be sure I'll paint the wohle cabinet with poisonous wood hardener today.

Meanwhile I had time to build in the Hantarex monitor and power up the pcb for the first time. Seems like a nice fuckup of the 4116s.
But I'm glad there's at least some life. PSU is working and supplies all the voltages, sound board seems to work too. I ordered 24 new 4164 RAMs, building the power adaptor meanwhile.

Yes 4116 to 4164 is always a good idea :)

you have to mod the supply(connector) -  the 4164 does not need the -5v and +12v...

i just ordered a very very big stock of 4164 rams (1000 pce).. so if anybody needs some ;)
there is too much butter on those trays

No and yes.

The big advantage is that the 16's need three voltages and the 64 only one (+5V).

You need to do some slight modding to use 4164s in places where 4116s used to be. Sometimes it's pretty easy f.i. with Williams boards using a special adapter (or just modding it yourself).

Actually.....the biggest advantage is that 4164s last a lot longer than 4116s.....the voltages are just another advantage ;)

I've used a single 4164 as a replacement on an Atari 800 RAM card succesfully too, just need to reroute some pins.

This is what you need to do if replacing a single chip:

No problemo, it's interesting. :)

Well, now it's payback time! I grabbed the most poisonous stuff I could get my hands on, the next harder stuff would be Agent Orange.
Here's the empty cabinet and the wood hardener:
