This reminds me that Dirk has such a beast hidden somewhere in a storage (IIRC) and is still dreaming of bringing it back to life

Cool. Hope we can share our knowledge on that one  :)

Ok, here's the 'package' inside the Lair'  8)

Cool, nice overall condition for that old lady, but it need a good cleaning as you can see...

This is my grail cab - Please remember this if you ever want to part with it - This would mean everything to me, just like Chuckie and the Sheriff.

Well, I got this one because I have a connection to it (I played it back in the days...and was always asking what was that game with a red car blabla...), and also because I really want to save the video footage, but this is clearly not my grail cab', or a 'must have' for me tbh.
I would like to see that beast working again, and to play it at least one more time. So we may talk about it l8ter, no problem.  ;)

I need to check also, it was one of the episodes in the beginning, i think somewherearound EP 7 orso.

not sure though, i need to re listen all of them  ;)

Not a big deal though, just some guy asking if they have heard of the game and if they think its worth restoring or something like that.

no deep info if thats what you are wondering about  :D

OK guys, before going into the machine, let's check the extra parts I have here

What's this part?  ???

The main 'attract mode' disc...

...see!  ;D

And a different one, used for an extra game/mission/circuit/whatever!

A NOS wheel in its original box  :-*

Funny, an 'usual' movie wheel is usually wound around a ...wheel, with a begin and an end... but not this one, see

...and there are punch holes on both side usually, no? Because on that one, there are holes on one side only? See on the right

...and at the left of it? What kind of information is? Sounds? Or 'data' for the game, like "you are supposed to turn left here?"  ???

An other box, with an other 'movie/mission'...cool!  8)

Original manual & parts list :

Spare projector lamps & 'film splicing tapes' :

Looks like a brush for a electromotor, the round thing under it looks like som kind of coding wheel.

Yeah coding wheel could be but it also reminds me of the stroboscope discs you could use to check the speed of turntable.

There seems to be 16 and 24 on the disc.....sounds like film frame rates.

Bruno, that extra "track" on the side, is is the same material as the film or is it different material ?

Both could indeed be sound. Sound used to be put on the film in optical format.

Me too !

Looks like the format of the film is 16....with sound:

Now, is the sound magnetic or optical....put a part on a flat-bed scanner Bruno :D
