Thanks for the notification Dexter, but my CPO is in very great condition.
Only one of the two side art would have to be changed. The scan of the side art is still in my 'to do' list  ;)  ::)

Awesome pair, Zaxxon was in the first 3 arcade games I ever played, the gameplay was a bit hard for me as a kid tho. :D

Yeps, same for me... huh... at least in the Arcades. It was one of the most difficult games back then.
I remember in the Luna Park, Zaxxon was almost available ... I mean no one played it ... too difficult! A game (10 bef = 0,25€) could last just 30 seconds  :o :ghost: And I don't think it was a matter of hard setting, it's just the way the game plays... difficult!

Anyway, I got my revenge when I got it for my beloved CBS Colecovision. I got that console for that game first! My best 'console' memory  :-*

Did you know Super Zaxxon pcb fits inside without any modification? Also Future Spy too!

Yep!  It only uses one button.  The only tricky thing is Congo Bongo's joystick is rotated 45-degrees like Q*Bert, so it might be a little tricky playing with the Zaxxon joystick.

I think its an romswap. I bet that if you burn super zaxxon roms from the mame set i think you are good to go.

...let me contribute on the one of the most anticipated side art repro : ZAXXON!!!

Mikonos has the artwork, but not the shape of sticker itself. Let's see what we can do.
The first problem is ... how to reach the side of my Zaxxon  :oops: See, it's stuck at the end of my game room v2  :oops:  :arrow:



Moving all the cabinets in that row is not possible unfortunately. The only option is to move the G-LOC...



...but it's not enough to have the full access to the side. Ok, I may remove the coin box from the G-LOC, but I'm too lazy for additional work ( :roll:).

So, I'll do the job like that. The invisible part of the sticker is not a problem, because I know it's a right-angled shape.

My first idea is to use a roll of glass fiber, and by transparency draw the shape of the sticker...



...mhhhh, not effective : the sheet of glass fiber is not transparent enough. So no other choice now than using the adequate tools...a rule, a square, a compass... and report all the measures on the sheet.



Time consuming (almost two hours) but effective  :-*  :arrow:



A last cut on the bottom of the pattern...



And the result is simply ... perfect! I can put it against the original side art sticker, it's a perfect 1:1 pattern  :-*



Next step, I'll send it to Mikonos  ;)
