I thought the Crazy Climber Cocktail was hilarious....it looked like the players were milking a cow when they played  ;D
;D ;D ;D
Exactly my feeling when I play it!

By the way shouldn't these kids be at school?
The L42 Academy for instance.

This year's EC edition was a real blast, the organizers and the crew made a brilliant job, when I entered the 2 gamerooms for the first time, it simply took my breath away. :spaceace:
The VIP party and the terrace sorrounded with that pond was also great, I really had a great time there chatting with arcade addicts like me. :D
Huge thanks to Erik's wife Marjan and Etienne for picking me up/taking me to the airport, I didn't know, that there are no trains on that weekend, it would have been a giant suck to reach Hilversum. :D

Oh, a note for the next edition... having each of us our 'nickname badge' since day 1!
I've missed few members because I didn't recognized them... or too late  :-\
What an awesome event! It has been said thousands of times, but its so true!  :)

Hi guys,

still have a bad back but right now a few minutes to drop some words on RGE2014.

I had a great weekend although a lot of work beforehand. Too bad I just moved south a few weeks before so I needed to arrange everything in last minute.
@Level42: I count 23 TVs if I remember correctly...and also included a small roadtrip for that Sprint2 the day before.

At least the setup looked very nice:

I need to get this carpet for my game room :)
(and maybe that Darius...)

Unfortunately I was so busy all the days (watching after kids, explaining games...) - as the whole crew - that I didn't had the chance to meet all DL members in person. See you next time.
@Bruno: You left to early for the CPOs - please keep these aside for me until we meet in the Lair or at Tyrem's place (The Roman arcade).

My special moment: The guy who made an 1 hour adventure of "Dungeons of Daggorath" on my TRS-80. At least one person was patient enough to get deeper into these older games.
(game description over here: http://crpgaddict.blogspot.de/2014/01/game-132-dungeons-of-daggorath-1982.html)

Note to Leve42: I explained Robotron to several people - either it's the Joust cabinet or the sheer fact it doesn't have a fire button, that only few mastered the controls *g*

One last question: Did anybody recognized the artwork at all I brought with me?

If not - you will have several more chances by 2015 because it will go on tour to Italy, UK, Austria and several larger cities in Germany. Stay tuned : http://www.supersample.de

by for now. And count me in for 2015.

Yep I took a little while to "sneek out" and have a look at the art..loved it and watched all of them carefully. As expected I liked some better than others ;) ;)

..with hindsight this may not have been the best place for it...we thought it would make a nice entrance to Theater 1 and everyone going there would see it, but I think most people who came into Theater 1 walked in through the 2nd floor.

The B&G building is brilliant, but it can be pretty confusing inside if you don't know your way around....

Again, you did a crazy amazing job !!! THANKS !!! :spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace:

I have seen it and loved it. It was the first thing we stumbled upon. I spend a good 20 minutes there and while there spoke about it with several visitors who loved it too! Thanks for bringing it!
