How did you fix back the original rivets ? Maybe you can put a picture of them, from the back ?

I've used a backadesive on the back of the plate, enlarge the rivet holes and use a drop of glue (super attack), take a look at these topics by Level42  :

 ... they don't believe me !!  For Galaga cab I showed them your site  and then .... OK OK OK nice work ..... but now let us play.....  WHAT !?!?!?

ok ...... finished the black parts.... two coats of satin black:





you can still see the tape on the highest part of the cab 

the other parts:



I can start to assemble some parts (speaker and oblique area  ):



speaker, control panel latch, and monitor support ..... look... no more tape  :wink (this area will be painted in yellow):




now I'm blocked  , I have to wait for the sidearts from twobits in order to scan the right yellow color

No problem looking good man!! You guys are so lucky you have TV's with RGB output. I've been using one of my bigger CRT's (32" I believe) with component input from my PC and MAME looks great on it! Sorry off topic
