Well if you now how to fix a bike then there is no problem

last time we repaired the enduro racer we bought stuff in the bicycle shop, works fine now

Yes, GNG is very hard to find in an "original" cabinet.  Back in the day, The one I played was a conversion.  Never saw a dedicated one.
