Hi from Croatia
« on: October 21, 2008, 02:44:59 PM »
Hi there, I though I'd introduce myself before I start asking questions.
I'm 24 living near Split, Croatia and have loved arcade games since as long as I can remember. I have two cabs i bought earlier this year, but more about them later. I'm currently active (as much as I can be) on KLOV and Neo-Geo forums.

I've been lurking for a while, but I had to register after I saw Nuno's Arcade Raid part II. Why you ask? Because the "generic crap", as Nuno calls them, are my cabs! I'm looking for any info you might have on them (were they even JAMMA from the factory?).

At the moment only one cab is running, and it's a puzzle bobble (boot). One of the good things about generic cabs is that you don't feel bad about converting it. Both cabs are in a bit of bad shape, haven't had time to fix them up properly yet, but I will.

Welcome to you Valsimot  :-*

I presume you refer to this topic ?
Opsss... sorry for the "generic crap" expression  I said that 'coz I was expected more dedicated cab on that specific arcade warehouse raid, but as you can see, there were mostly generic cabs  :-\

I suppose your cab is this model ?

I'll check in my 'roadtrip archive pictures' If I have more pictures of this model.

Wow, you're from Croatia ? How is the arcade scene over there ? I would say mostly generic cab and very less dedicated cab ... but maybe I'm wrong ?

Anyway, welcome here  :-*

Hehe, don't worry about it, I thought it was funny. ;D

The Multi Games look just like mine, you can see my cab in my signature. Both cabs have been hacked, a few times from the look of it, and I can't tell what was there originally (JAMMA or something else).

I'm interested in any information you can find on these cabs: PSU schematic, number of cabs built, where all the monitors Hanterex MTC-900? What joystick did they come with (balltop, teardrop or the fugly things installed on mine)? Anything you can tell me.

The arcade scene is reeeeeeeal small and most OPs are turning to "better" moneymakers, gambling games. I bought these two from a local OP (he has two more just like them, a bunch of NSF generics, a MK2, a few Operation Wolfs, some I couldn't recognize, a whole set of virtua racing sit downs and of course gambling games). The only other OP i know of has a Dragon's Lair on his site, but I've never got around to visiting him (he never returned my call).

Only one place I know of can pass for an arcade around here, some kind of caffe/bar/funzone, it has: 1x 2 player sitdown (i think it's virtua racing or daytona), 1x sitdown outrun (damn fine condition I might add), 1x Astro City candy cab (was out of service) and whack-the-mole, crane game, pool tables, table tennis, darts. Haven't been there in a few months and they seem to be expanding every year, might have to see if they got anything new...

Thanks, can't see all that much in the video, but I think they all have ball tops. That's good, because that's what I was planning on getting ball tops anyway =]

I wonder if the company that made them is still around...
