Anunaki's RGE / Eurocade 2013 weekend
« on: September 16, 2013, 09:31:40 PM »
I had a great weekend trip to the RGE / Eurocade 2013 event, starting Thursday with the disassembling of my MK2 cab and ending today with the reassembling at my attic.

It started here, in pieces

My friend Laurent helped me from day 1 and came along with me.

No it´s not a cockpit

It slowly got back in shape

yeaaaaaaah boyyyyyy

wrap it up

I loaned a car with a hanger hook and I rented a hanger to put the cab in

and we went to Beeld and Geluid

to put the cab in the arcade

`
And checked in to our hotel room

Friday night it was already very nice at the hotel bar, in fact I completely forgot to take pics  :-[ because of the talking and beerdrinking

When I woke up on day 1, I could only think of one thing

After that, we walked to Beeld en Geluid

to get the Experience

There were consoles

Nozomi represent 8)

A cinema

But you all know what we came for

yeaaaaaaaaaaaah, what a sight guys

Maybe people are playing the MK2?

They are, and it makes me feel real good.....

but not only the MK2 was busy, the place was packed :spaceace:

Mr Eurocade in his great SW cockpit.

What's that noise downstairs? Bishi Bashi!!

There it is, the contest I looked forward too

Wow Pieter, it looks amazing

Nice hat 8)

Day 1 ends and some familiar people stick around in the building

To watch a movie

I see friends over here

And friends over there

The movie was.........   :? :pac:

So let's drink some beer

And Talk

And drink some more beer

And talk some more

At the end of this great day Etienne had something for Bela

It that......... yes it is

That ends the pics of day 1

Day 2, we're up quite late, but it's still busy at the breakfast tables

Let's make some more pictures of the arcade:

Brilliant looking Space Invaders

What are the odds to see these in Holland back 2 back?

This pic shows the great 80s music on day 2

The grandfather of 'm all

Ey, is that a fake Donkey Kong over there Stefan? ;D

This what the event was all about

Also on day 2 the MK2 was played fanatic

The man at work

I played juno First for the 1st time, great gameplay..... but very hard

And after watching Martijn and his passionat handheld item

I found out that Bela was destroying my DK highscore  and won the contest  :spaceace:

Then it all went so fast, we packed the MK2 and put it back in the hanger

And it was back in my livingroom again

As was the great gift I received from the people at Beeld en Geluid, Tx so much guys

No King of Kong, but happy anyway

I almost couldn't believe you when you said that you disassembled the cab. That's really dedication!!  :spaceace: :spaceace:
I could see that the MK was one of the most popular cabs at Eurocade. It was almost impossible to get the chance to play it. ;D

Great pics Patrick, (in the cinema shot of myself an Stefan I look much alike Stan Laurels unknown grandchild  ...)
Regarding the BishiBashi Battle Tyrem vs. Anunaki: Fell free to visit us in South-West-Germany  :spaceace:

I've met so many people there at beeld & geluid and I'm so bad in matching names, nicks and pics....

What if we chose some crowd-shots and label the people shown with their nicks?

Great pictures and great report Patrick, you put it all down so well. It´s nice to read that you, and all the others had so much great fun and I hope that it will not be too long before you have to disassemble your beloved MK again.  :)

Because I don´t know when we will organize our next event, but you and MK just have to be there.

Lookinf forward to see you at the Nozomi meeting end November.
