Team spirit and some more Zaccs
« on: June 22, 2013, 06:24:11 AM »
As title says, this story is another proof, that we have a great and selfless community here. :spaceace:
The first "new" cab was on ebay a few months ago, it was a bit butchered and far away from our members, but Jörg (Digimon) was so kind and offered me to pick it up and deliver it to Ully's Storage.
It was a 1100 km ride. :o
As always, Ully agreed in no time to store it for a while, so finally we can made it. :spaceace:
The cab arrived without keys, I had to drill the locks first, which was a real nightmare, the old beast didn't want me to see what is inside. :D

Finally I could remove the back door and check what is inside

Looks like all oroginal except of the pcb :'(
The good old Hantarex mtc 90

And if you are curious by now what cab is this, here we go :D

Yeah, it is a Super Galaxian from 1979. :D

It has a hacked bezel, I belive I already saw this artwork on a Space Invaders bootleg or something. It is a bit shorter than the original one, they tried to use some wooden strips to cover the missing area.

I started to clean the bottom of the cab and found this, I was really happy first, but there is just a monitor manual and some Donkey Kong and Jungle King stuff there

The marquee is in great shape

As you can saw on the pics, the cpo is also missing, but I already have the scans from Paul and an original bezel from Chris also, so it won'T be a problem. ;)
I fired it up and had some neckglow for a minute, but monitor totally died then. :-\
Checked all the caps and replaced a blown fuse, but still not working, will have to repair it later.
I also checked the pcb and realized, that it has a Konami pinout, I tried it out with an adapter on my test bentch, it is a fully working Gyruss. :D
More progress with this later, huge thanks to Joerg and Ully!!! :spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace:

The second story started here:
https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=4413.0
Martin (Nilfisk) pointed me on a strange wall machine, as it was a Zacc, I had to go for it. :D
In this case, our beloved Thorsten (Luigi) was so kind and helped me picking this up and store it for a while. :spaceace:
When he arranged  the pickup, we realized that the seller has 2 of these machines, after a bit of hesitation, we decided to take both. ;D
Let the pics speak

Both cabs are in great shape and fully working, the inside is really interesting, there are also some EM stuff there

If you can reach 1.000.000 points you get these dedicated getons

They are in this grey plastic tube with some wood on he top

The EM coil that moves the payout mechanism

The pcb was made in 1985 august

The other one 1985 february

Both cabs have the original Schematics

It has a cool sound also, I will upload a video later. ;)
Another huge thanks to Thorsten, maybe he will tell us more from the pickup. ;D

I like them !

Cool, and as a bonus a Konami Gyruss

Is it a Original Konami or a boot ?

Many of the zaccs are standard wired to konami

I have a wall machine (star express) they are very similar than your zaccaria super match. it was made in the 1970s from Melchers germany. I think those zaccaria wall machines was a license product of this.
