Finally, another Superully Retro Project! Are you still going to swap the colors of the cabs?

Looking good so far! Can't wait to see your progress. Have some Nintendo restorations to do myself when Love's container hits shore :)

a small update: the first parts have been freshly vinyled, glued together and are being installed back onto the machine as we speak - this is turning out really nice!

up next: vinyling the sides - not really looking forward to that ... :-\

great work as usual ully !

one question, where do you buy your vinyl (and are they customs colors made on purpose) ? i got a look to all the DIY shop arround, and the color choice is not great, and the vinyl doesn't have the good width.

thanks

thx! everything you need for a DK vinyl restore you can get from this old game. one set includes enough vinyl for an entire cabinet. i can only recommend it, although the orange is pretty thin, so you must make sure the base is well prepared before installing it, otherwise error will shine through!

believe me, it is not! when you remove the protective sheet from underneath the vinyl, it becomes so extremely static that it basically sucks in everything around it. no matter how much preparations you do, you will always have something flying around which gets sucked in - like a black hole. unless of course you have a paint booth. but honestly, i can live with those imprefections (believe it or not), because i've come to realize that without the proper setting (which i don't have (yet), you just can't get it to 100%, but i can do with 95% :D

Indeed, makes me want to buy another nintendo cab..

Is it difficult to handle the vinyl?
