REPAIRING OUTRUN ARCADE

I HAVE THE 1986 OUTRUN ARCADE GAME, THE STEERING WHEEL STOPPED WORKING EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS FINE. THE SPRING IN THE WHEEL BROKE AS WELL AND I THINK THATS THE CONNECTION THAT STOPPED IT FROM STEERING HOW TO I REPLACE THIS MISTAKE AND GET THIS TO WORK AGAIN? PARTS AND ALL THANKS ..PLEASE HELP

Come'on guys I think that is pretty clear by now.....

AFAIK Outrun steering gears break a lot and are (close to) impossible to find, hopefully I am wrong....
