(what's new it enumerates it though it is not certain. )

[USA]

Other information is omitted because it is too old.  (Ex. information in March, 1996. )

It's a nice topic idea  Kiss

* For Europe, I have no information about a Galaxian Theater up & running  Huh? Shocked

* For USA, there is a place in Miami where you can find a Galaxian Theater BUT not with a Galaxian game  Huh?

Have a look at the pictures :

"TSUNAMI THEATER presents ..."

So it's means there are new kit to transform Galaxian3 into other games  Huh? Do ya have some information about this ?

I am not sure about this.

http://www.coinop.org/g.aspx/101664/Galaxian_3.html

Quote
Close your eyes, and imagine a 6 players sitdown space-shooting sim, where all you can do is to target and shoot. Now imagine two side-by-side projector system that project a 110" screen each side, both perfectly meshed together (depending on how picky the arcade manager is).
Imagine holding a controller that guides the marker anywhere on that screen, that looks very much like the Star Wars gun system, only scaled down, yet giving you feedback each time you shoot (again depending on how well the arcade manager maintains it).

Finally, imagine a full fledged Bose system, including a 6-9 inch subwolfer sandwiched between the 3rd and 4th player, to complete the audio experience.

You got yourself Galaxian 3, cost $3 million dollars each at initial release, only available at Walt Disney World and DisneyLand and one other location in the US before the profilication of Dave & Buster and Gameworks and other entertainment centers around the U.S.

This game is your simple straight-up point and shoot game. With a large amount of enemies, you just plain can't get everything. Ending at 3-5 minutes of play, this is a short, yet very entertaining experience that is not as difficult to consistantly win (especially once you pick up the patterns to the game.)

Is there G3 in Disney World? Huh?

(ps : next time, please send me a message in French, and I'll translate it directly  Wink Kiss )

OK, here's the English version for the friends here  Kiss  arrow

I've just found few details about the game AIR RAID, let's start with a video :

http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWX2NnYgxDQ

Then the CV of the game coder :

http://www.linkedin.com/in/mcdull

This is not a Namco game. It's done by Tsunami who made the strange arcade game, with a sphere who surround the player.

Do you mean there won't be any G3 in Japan?  Embarrassed  I presume you mention only one G3 to be removed?

No. I said "at game arcade in Japan".

Fortunately, the cabinet is not discarded, will be moved to an undisclosed location.

Perhaps, the only chance to play in Japan at the moment is to go to "the museum".
But, the open date of "the museum" is limited. (It is about 1~2 day in one month. )

Ok, thanks for the notification.

Do you have the possibility to follow the 'fate' of this GT6? I hope you'll be able to know where it will be moved (private collector or an other pubic arcade room.,...)

Not easy to keep a such monster regarding its size  confused

Here's a picture of a GT6 in Japan :

This photograph was taken in Saitama Prefecture Kumagaya City in Japan in 2007.
It is not operating as of 2011.
