So far everyone (incl. the seller) seems to agree that it does a basic test/ID on the chips, but nothing extensive. Still....nice to have around if you have stacks of these chips and want to know that there at least is a good chance that it works.

It's very cheap too :)

Seems to be an easy and quick way to determine good/functioning TTLs. Since most of the replacement parts are collected/bought through ebay-auctions and therefore you never know the real 'age' of those parts i consider buying one of these testers. Alas they seems to be out of stock by this seller. What is the exact name of this device?
