Bad luck, but fortunately you seem to be able to handle this kind of diaster in a mature way.

On the positive side, we will appreciate your effort now even more then we already did.  :)

P.S. thanks for "resqueing" another B/W TV for me :)

And after 2 sessions of bondo-ing and sanding, i am ready for another go at the vinyl  ::)

Same procedure as before, cut roughly to size..

Clamp it up with the grid on the rear matching the straight backside..

First side done !  :P

And except for the kickplate, we are back at the point where i left off  :D

Just i noticed that this vinyl is a bit different.. i see like it is "devided" in the motive..

It looks like two or three planks together instead of one big plank like the other vinyl..

strange because its the same brand..
I will not remove it again, because i need to bondo and sand again then..

I think i can live with it how it is now

After the sides i applied the bezel and controlpanel, only this vinyl is much thinner then the ones from the diy shop  :-\
So there is some of the wood pattern visible through the vinyl
I do have one printed and laminated extra, so if it bothers me too much i will install that in front..

After i installed the controlpanel with double sided tape, i connected all the wires of the pong unit...
Houston, we have another problem  >:(

clickpic..

then i checked everything again, and the only difference i could find is that i now used a smaller adapter..

clickpic..

The small adapter that i used was 9v/150ma and the one i used while testing was 300ma
That however had a switchable voltage, so i like to keep that out of this build, and i replaced it wit a 750ma model
Now its running without problems, i can go on holiday without stress  ;D

So see you guys in a week orso  ;)

Belike

Thanks Guys!

Great job Etienne!!!

I've a question, can you give me some data about this DCFIX vinyl (serial/color):

Thanks!!! ... enjoy your holiday.

Sure, the second vinyl i bought was "Eiche" with pattern "Wildwuchs"

The first vinyl was i think also Eiche but with pattern "Hell", or it was "Chestnut" (dont have the package anymore  ;) )
I know now (after visiting the website with samples http://www.d-c-fix-shop.de/produktbereich/deko-folien-selbstklebend.html) that i should have taken "Natural" that looks the most identical to the original pong if you ask me..

hmmm... i can take it off again...  ::)

Nehh  just kidding !
