You don't need to register there. You can't bid, because the japanese people only trade with other japanese people. I don't know what's the problem there, but you have to use a proxy-bidder. That's a guy located in Japan that bids for you, pays the seller, receives the packet and sends it to you. Just look through the auctions and you will hopefully find something. I think a permanent search or something is quite difficult to install as everything is in japanese.
You need the japanese name of the game to find something useful there. You'll find most of these in the english wikipedia. Space Firebird for example is スペース ファイアーバード
If you enter this, you'll find two flyers or something:

http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m95451743 and
http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g103825280
`Contrariwise,' continued Tweedledee, `if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic.'

Cool, those are インスト or instruction cards.  Looks like Tehkan licensed Space Firebird as well.  They also licensed Donkey Kong (as did Sega)!

Hi guys,

I am working on the Nintendo Space Firebird marquee to vectorise it, and i was wondering what the little "stamp" was what you can see on this picture :

Thanks to Charles (Biomech011) i know now that its the logo for Leisure and Allied Industries.

http://outrun86.wordpress.com/2012/10/09/lai-outrun-marquee/

He send me this pic, and the quality is a bit higher than the source i have.

The progress is comming along on the marquee, and it will be available for free when i finish it.

Is there anyone out there that has something with this logo and could provide me a higher quality pic / scan of this logo ?

Any help is appriciated !

Thanks

Etienne

I would leave it from the marquee...doesn't have to be there.... IMHO  ::)

fabulous work so far, etienne, you rock, man! BUT ...

I would leave it from the marquee...doesn't have to be there.... IMHO  ::)

... honestly I would leave it out as well, because I think it's just a sticker someone put there. That logo isn't on the original Out Run marquee either and it looks out of place. Additionally, I don't see a connection between that company and Nintendo. But since you've already vectored it, you can "produce" two versions, one with and one without the logo!

LAI is a company that produced/licensed arcade cabinets in Australia, so those were likely from an Australian produced machine.
